nevarRed: Not really a memory per se as it was very recent (a month back) but I managed to snag a strix 1070ti for $120.00. Still pretty chuffed about the find and the fact that I can game again after my 1060 gave out.
GamezRanker: Nice to hear when a gamer can game again. :)
(also yah, it be a memory, albeit a recent one)
nevarRed: Throwing my hat in for the store credit draw.
Thanks for the chance GamezRanker.
GamezRanker: Yup yup

pkk234: Honestly any time i chill with my friends it's a pretty good time. That's why they're my friends.
My brother and I live super far, like other side of the world, but we still catch some coop games from time to time. And just shoot the shit.
I'm lucky to have both friends and a brother I enjoy hanging out with.
GamezRanker: Sounds like you are...here's to hoping you enjoy many more memories with them, eh?
pkk234: Great topic, great giveaway. I'm down for the GOG bucks.
I'm gonna save this and read people's answers.
GamezRanker: Yeah, I try to make the contests a bit more involved than "enter for draw x by just stating such"...it usually seems to make for some fun times for all.

MysterD: Take a trip down Memory Lane here. So, this had to be late 80's and early 90's, but I certainly all the times when my mom & dad went to the local roller skating rink and we went all go skating for sessions and stuff. Lots of fun, skating and all. And playing whatever awesome arcade games they had at this rink. For a few years, before hitting 10,
I was doing this for fun; and it certainly was tons of that. Learning how to skate, move around,
and even...jump at some point. So, yeah; someone would take notice. So, yeah; I eventually got good at this and it led to me be approached by a coach to do this seriously - around 10 years old or so. So, it got serious; and I began practicing seriously. Pretty much, practicing 5-7 days a week. Not too long later, I began competing in competitions.
GamezRanker: 1st bolded bit above: Well I would hope you were doing it for fun. ;D
But anyhoo, wow.....sounds like you had quite a bit of fun with it your passion(skating) and made a real go of it....good to hear.
2nd bolded bit:
GamezRanker: MysterD: COVID's been kind of "meh". While my lifestyle hasn't changed that much from stopping roller skating & all, other than dropping skating. I've always pretty much watched TV, played video games, and went out to eat places. So, sure, buying my new awesome PC with a RTX 3070 was great and all - but seems like this always come back to food. So, probably thanks to the old skating days, we often ate out at restaurants a lot; often one day a week or weekends.
That never changed, over the years; and now I'm typing this some tons of years or so later; and I'm like 40 or so. So, yeah - we still do this & get food; nothing's changed on that. We're definitely foodies, more or less. And most of the time - we still go out to some good places, but don't eat the food there. Instead, we just use these places as take-out and eat the food at home. But, yeah - it's still great to spend time w/ my family and still have them here on Earth; eat food; watch TV and/or movies, and all of that good stuff - family bonding and all.
GamezRanker: I also enjoy meals out with family and friends when able...such nice times, and often nice food as well.

Yep, I did say jumping. And there was spinning too. Most people probably don't even know it exists on roller skates = especially competitively - but it does: it's basically figure skating on roller skates, to make it simple and understandable.
Think like the stuff Paul Wylie, Scott Hamilton, Tara Lipinski (former roller skater, when she was little...before transferring to ice skating) and other legends do....but transfer that style over onto roller skates. Quad-roller skates, not the roller-blade.
Side note - though there were events w/ roller-blades for doing this stuff, but it was nowhere near as popular competitively. It never took off, for artistic skating (i.e. figure skating).
