Good afternoon, gentlecreatures! This is a giveaway for Ork Manager: Coal & Top hats!

It's a management game, set in a sort of Edwardian Britain… with monsters.

You'll create your Team, and fight against others', in a noble sport called "the Brawl". It's simple: who knocks-down most opponents, wins the match.

In order to partecipate, reply here telling which is your favourite race among these (optional: also tell me why).

It's first come, first served. I'll need to send you a PM with the code: if you have restricted PMs, start a conversation with me first (that should work, I guess? If it doesn't, add me as a friend or something).

You'll be able to redeem your code HERE, after you have registered (you can freely register – the code is used later to turn your account to Pro).

The giveaway ends after I've sent 32 codes, or on 2019-08-23, 12:00 British Time, whichever happens first.

I'm the developer, so feel free to ask me questions, if you have any!

I gave a look at the site who hosts the game, I'd like to undersand a bit more about the mechanics of the game before joining... is there a manual or something similar? the guide is a bit 'fragmented' are there more detalied examples about how the game works and the fights?

Howdy, Daemon18!

1. So, first you'll create your Team. A Team will look like this. You can pick their name, their race and which attribute they'll built up quicker.
Or you can just leave the defaults.

2. You will sign your Team in the Feeder, have a look.
This is the entry division, and you can join it at any time.
While the upper divisions (like this one) have predetermined matches and a fixed number of Teams, the Feeder is more dynamic: the matches are drawn every week (so that you'll usually fight against Teams with as many points as yours).
Your Team will be added to the Feeder on Friday at dinnertime, and you'll be able to setup your first lineup then.

3. You have time until Tuesday at lunch to pick your best Brawlers for the next match; after that the lineups are published, and you can setup your tactics according to your opponent's lineup. You have until Friday at dinnertime to submit your tactics (you can change your tactics as many times as you like before the deadline).

4. The match will be fought, according to your lineup and tactics. This is how a match looks like.
You'll read from the game bulletin a (gory) description of the KOs, and many stats concerning every Brawler (XP gained, hits, misses, etc.).

5. A new match will be drawn, etc, repeat from step 4 until the end of the season. A season lasts 9 weeks.

6. When a season ends, every Team receives a rank based on their position in the table, and the new Leagues are assembled.

A. Meanwhile, at any time, you can have a look at the Auction House, and try to buy something.
There are Brawlers, sold by other Users, and there are Eggs, which are spawned and also sold to the best bidder. Eggs are used to create brand new powerful Brawlers, allowing you to pick their name, attributes, etc.

B. When your Team performs well, you'll gain supporters. Supporters will come and pay to see your matches (thus increasing your revenue), but can also be used to create new Brawlers.

Feel free to ask any other question, if you think anything isn't unclear or needs clarifications.

You may also want to have a look:
at instagram where additional lore is posted;
• at facebook or twitter, where you find both lore and tips;
• and at the devlog if you are interested in game design :)

“Free” giveaways. Online registrations. Auctions. Hence gambling spam. In fact you are only missing loot boxes to be up there with EA and those lot. I have reported the post, it is up to them.

Of course you have to register, it's an online game.
The auctions are a simple game mechanic, nothing to do with any gambling at all. Do you realise that pretty much every MMORPG includes Auctions or a Market, right? Same thing here. Do you consider World of Warcraft to be a gambling game? You may like it or not, but it's certainly not gambling…
