Play Age of decadence. It's got challenging turn-based combat and its setting is pretty unique, being inspired by the post-Roman dark age and some unexpected Lovecraftian vibes. A bit too unrelentingly dark at times, but one of the few rpgs that actually got "evil" choices kind of right ("evil" being selfish and devious, like would be advisable in such a harsh setting, not the kind of demented psycho that is all too common in many games).
For the full experience you need to play it several times, at least through all the major questlines (mercenary, thief, assassin, merchant, Daratan praetor, Aurelian praetor). Every questline feels unique and you get to experience the setting from very different perspectives, almost a Rashomon-like experience that I haven't quite encountered like that in any other game. And there's also lots of choices and branching within each questline. It's not perfect (as its creators would acknowledge), but a game that imo reminds one of the tantalizing possibilities games could aspire to.

EDIT: I assume this contest will last a few days, so I just want to add that I won't have internet access next week, so if I should win something, I can only reply from 3rd October onwards.

You should definitely play Quake 2.
Having only 0m in this game is a crime :D
One of my favourite boomer shooters ever.
Beautiful levels, incredible weapons, wonderful music.
Just play and have fun. You will not regret it xd

Hm, depends on in what mood you are. Do you want something action oriented or relaxing?
You should consider playing Darksiders Warmastered Edition.

It is very underrated in my opinion and offers a combination of combat and puzzle solving. The puzzles are not hard, but some are quite fun. The game introduces you to lots of different mechanics and you jump right into the action when you start playing. This means you will immediately know if you like this type of game or not. The game is medium length (10-20 hours if I remember correctly), you should definetely give it a try. This game is very action-oriented so be aware of that.
I'm in for the giveaway! Thanks Doc. :D

Really hard to pick one game and I was going to suggest one of the Star Trek games you owned but as I was scrolling through your list, I noticed you had Undertale. Well that settles it, you absolutely need to play that game. First off, it is quite short and can be won in about 8-10 hours so it's not that big of a time investment. Secondly, the story, characters, and music are all awesome. It's one of the few games that continues to resonate emotionally with me today. As for gameplay, it is similar to Earthbound (turn-based combat) with a twist. You can choose not to kill every enemy and boss which changes how the game ends depending on who lives or dies.

Based on your Gog Galaxy gaming stats, it looks like you play a lot of RPGs and adventure games with deep and engrossing stories so I see Undertale here as a pretty good suggestion based on the prior games you've played.

Best of luck to everyone. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's recommendations.
Hey Doc, thanks for the giveaway! Im in this time. :)

Probably people will recommend to you many awesome games you already have in your list, so I will recommend one that it seems not many people around here played:

Cyber Hook

This is a "platform/speedrun" game that you need much more than simple reflexes to complete and achieve the best time in each level. Route planning, map knowledge, a good strategy and practice will lead you to victory. If you don't like the speed, you can just play around each level like a "cyberspiderman" to reach it's end. Really fun regardless imo. :)

I noticed that you enjoy first person perspective games so maybe you will enjoy a different take in the genre.
Play Spellforce 3: Soul Harvest.

Spellforce 3 is a hidden gem and has become a really nice game after its bug ridden bumpy release.
Soul Harvest is a great stand alone addon improving on the original game experience.
While it borrows some elements from the main game it also can be played alone and evolves the game quite a lot.
The story is pretty good and there is a lot of nice sidequests.
Game duration with 15-20 hours seems to be spot on. Playing it in general feels like having a fresh start on an improved Spellforce 3 and might be a good start to reenter the series.
Hi Doc!
You should play Ronin: one of those hidden indie gems really worth playing. Short but fun, turn based ninja/kill-bill action game.
Reminded me a bit of Mark of the Ninja and Gunpoint, although it has somewhat different mechanics.

We're 5 weeks short, but Amnesia The Dark Descent is always a good one to play around Halloween time...
The game I choose is Dishonored: Definitive Edition.

If you're into immersive sims, Dishonored is one hell of a game. Many consider it a better Thief game than Thief itself!!!

What makes the game special:
- The city of Dunwall is inspired by late-19th and early-20th-century London. Doc, you being from the UK might find this more appealing. And the levek design is top notch.

- Choose your style: you can be an agent of chaos and wreak havoc or you can simply ghost your way through. Just remember that your actions have consequences and the world will react to it.

- The game is about assassinating a set of targets and there are multiple ways you can do it. You can even choose not to kill them, but for that you'll have to play the game and find out how!

- The extremely cool powers at your disposal. Just to name a few: summon a swarm of deadly rats, "possession" where you can temporarily inhabit and possess other characters, and blink where you can well blink to where you want, creating a lot of opportunities on how to deal with the challenges in front of you.

- The gameplay is great. Whatever your style, the game is so much fun to mess around with. And has a great replayability value.

- The DLCs are also awesome.

- If you love it, then you'll still have Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider to play next! And Dishonored 2 has two of the most awesome levels ever created in video games.

As an extra, if you like to watch documentaries, here's one on the making of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsQiKKfKxug

Thanks for the chance Doc, and for once again bring joy to this community with your generosity. And the plus thing is that everyone can also take other's game suggestions for themselves too.

Whether I win or lose, I really hope you consider play Dishonored nonetheless, and that you have a great time with it. Thank you once again.
I see that you own "Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition" and never played it (Unless you played it offline)

What Can I say for that game it is amazing. The first Time I played it was in 2017. The great cast of characters that are memorable included a mean sorceress, a dwarf, a warrior and an elf, all of them which have their unique backgrounds. The long and great story (Could take you from 60-85 hours), The multiple playthroughs you can do,, the gameplay and atmosphere make this game a must play for people that love RPG games. Also the Awakening DLC is included which is one of the best expansions that I have ever played. If you have ever played the baldur gate games or any similar game it will remind you a lot of it, heck it could even be better than the BG games.

Also GOG please bring the 2nd and Third games here, even if they can't match the first game at all it would still be great to have them here.

It's really hard to pick just one as there are a few I'd heartily recommend you play but if I have to choose just one I'd say Dishonored.

This game completely hooked me, everything from the beautiful looking scenery, the variety of the different levels, the multiple paths you can choose to take - stealth, all out mayhem or a mixture of the two, all with different endings - to the immersive story, this game (actually all three in the franchise are worth playing) is really top notch. Highly recommended.

EDIT: I see I've been beaten in recommending Dishonored which just goes to show what a good game it is :) but I'll add a recommendation for King's Bounty: The Legend. Another excellent game (one of my favourites I go back to) that will keep you playing just one more turn. It's fun, highly entertaining and just so easy to get into. I'll definitely say give it a go :)

Hi Doc! Thanks for the chance and generosity! I'm in.

I suggest you play Saints Row The Third if you haven't already. The game is a lot of fun, and completely bonkers. The story is absurd, which makes it all the more enjoyable. If GTA is satire, Saints Row is parody. It's a good game to let some steam off.

You absolutely must play MDK. One of the best third-person shooters ever with a warped sense of humor. It's also made by the same company that made the Earthworm Jim games, so if you love surreal humor, you really can't go wrong with MDK. This game is also not very long, so compared to all of the RPGs and point and click games that people are suggesting here, you'll be able to get through it relatively fast.

Also, if you do play MDK, make sure you run the MDK3DFX.EXE for better graphics.
