how do I gift other people games on gog?? I haven't really looked to deep into this. but am about to. just wanted to get things rolling now... I would like to buy games for other people on gog??

When you add to cart and go to checkout, underneath the payment options is a "Gift This Order" checkbox. Check it, and it will be a code. This code will contain everything in the purchase. This means you should NOT buy everything at once if you want to gift them to multiple people (I think).

Also, if someone owns a game code in the pack, if they activate your gift code the unused ones will still be usable. So if they own both icewind dales but not the rest of the D&D pack, they will have a code for the icewind dales leftover. I recall it working something like that but I haven't tried it myself.

I recommend when you want to gift someone you select the gift this option and the email you use is your own. You will get a key in your email and you can give the key to whoever you want and they will be able to redeem it.

Maximum bunny is correct and if you buy a bunch of games at once they go under one key, so try to buy them seperate if going to give games to multiple people. If you do buy a bunch under one key he is also correct in that they can redeem only certain games on the key and the others will be left, but you take the chance of someone redeeming a game they shouldn't have.

The t-shirts @ 1000 games should have gone to the top 50 gifters. I'm guessing you're within a few, or firmly entrenched, as #1 on that list.

I bought a game on gog but I don't really like it. Is it possible to send this game as a gift to someone else? Or is this option available only during the purchase?

My understanding is no, you can;t gift it to someone else once you've downloaded it and "claimed" it. You can try contacting support to see if maybe they'll allow it but I have a feeling that they're going to say no. You can try asking for a refund as well if you want.

Having said that, there's nothing stopping you from just giving them a copy of your game download. Some (many?) folks here will say that's unethical and frowned upon but that's one of the pluses of DRM-free software. You can pass it along to someone else if you don;t like it.

I will usually torrent a game before I buy it. I've admitted it before here. I have a couple of physical issues so I usually try the game first to see if I can actually play it before I buy it. I've even submitted bug reports and suggestions of games that I've obtained that way along with a note as to why I did so.

Actually, I need to do that, too, i.e. try the game to see if I can play it at all. For me, the game must work with an on-screen keyboard. Fortunately, many games like strategy games and isometric RPGs do. Usually it's enough to run the game in a window.

I can't find the wislist of my friend, where should I look?

At the very top of the page, next to "support" text, there's your nickname with your avatar. Hover your mouse cursor on that and in the menu that shows up click "Friends". You'll be taken to a new page with your friends listed. Hover your mouse cursor over a nickname and click a button that shows up - it displays a list of things you can do, one of them is visiting your friend's wishlist. You should be able to see it, assuming they haven't made it private.
