The sad part is- the forced "let's make it all women" aspect is the least of it's problems. And, in fact, if they found a half decent cast, i might not have been a problem at all. But it looks like they went out of their way to find the four least funny, most annoying women they could. I mean, we went from Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver to this? Can anyone even think of a greater downgreat in cast quality in any franchise? When you make the Star Wars prequels casting look competent STOP. MAKING. MOVIES.

Why does that matter? I wouldn't expect any movie (outside of porn, which this isn't) to show the genitals of the characters, so why does it matter what genitals they have?

It was a reference to the original movie.

And for what it's worth, I didn't thing the trailer was that bad and Melissa Mcarthy is usually good for a few laughs.

ShadowAngel.207: I know it where two different studios working on it but in both cases Atari was the Publisher, so you'd think they say "wait a minute, this version has a gender option, it should be in that other version too!" but i guess they didn't care.
It's not that big of a deal, i'm a woman so i prefer playing a female character whenever possible but i have no problem playing a male. I just don't really understand why one version has that option and the other don't, different developers or not, there should be cross-talk between those on such things.

Also the budget is supposed to be $154 million. I don't know where it all went.

Critical disaster would be a good bet.
