Ummm.... Maybe you don't know, slapstick has quite an old history.

The 80's and 90's humor was much better in my opinion, not to mention the writing and movies in general.

I never said it didn't.

If anything, all that proves that comedy goes in cycles. Slapstick is back in fashion again.

Give it another 20 years and it will go away and sarcasm will be back in style again and then you'll get the comedies you prefer

Stevedog13: No he was a scientist, it was just that his theories were the worst kind of popular tripe, his methods were sloppy, and his conclusions were highly questionable. He was a poor scientist!
But Ernie Hudson definitely was not a scientist, by any stretch.

Still shit. "Patty" is just insufferable. However, I will admit, the last joke, about the logo, made me crack a smile. Which would be a good thing, if it didn't make me wonder how is it, that the only devent joke in two trailers is thanks to how Chris Hemsworth delivers it, and he's a supporting character. I mean, it's good to see at least one semi-chuckle worthy joke there, but somehow it made the main characters look even worse with just how unfunny they are.

Still pretty bad. I think apart from that last joke at the very end, I wasn't in danger of laughing at any time.

I'll edit this into my original post for people to find more easily. Although, I really ought to edit into that Where's Waldo movie thread where nobody'll notice it.

I laughed at the end no lie.

The rest made me squemish still.

All those other jokes though are have been in almost every other comedy in the past 15 years. It's like everything is blending together.

I thought the whole idea of new characters was risky, and kind of bad if the original cast wasn't going to appear without at least doing a cameo, but these trailers... aren't half bad... They're silly, but maybe the movie isn't going to sink as expected (hopefully not :P)

Won't let me view the new trailer, said it isn't available in my country. Maybe because I downvoted the original one?

In any case, this does not foster any sort of desire to see this movie.
