joveian: While not the lowest prices, Falcom games are almost all on sale (except Gurumin for some reason :( ) and are really excellent games IMO (except Zweii: The Arges Adventures, I'd recommend skipping that one, but do play Zweii II ($10, 50% off) since it is really good and not all that connected to the first). Most of them are also quite long as games go so you get a lot for the money. Falcom unfortunately has a bunch of DLC but it can all be skipped, although Ys VIII has a free HD texture pack DLC (not sure if it really does much). Ys VIII ($24, 40% off) is in good shape now and not likely to receive additional updates.
Actually Zwei the arges adventure is a great game If you haven't played it yet.. Amazing soundtrack , funny story and great gameplay.
Thanks!

Here's a search for Under $2 games, for anyone who eyeballs this post:

I tried a second time with a walkthrough but still didn't make it far and have been avoiding it for a while. The gameplay has some good ideas (like the tradeoff between healing and XP and the food bonus spinner) and the overall level design seems fairly good, but somehow it feels tedius to me (at least partly because the hunt the next level thingy is rather annoying even with a walkthough; it is at least a bit better in Zwei II since there is more to a level before you need to find the next one as I recall). I'm not a fan of the story at all so possibly that is the main reason I'm not enjoying it. Falcom music is always great.

And on the topic of Arges, should anyone try it note that you need to enable an insecure video codec while playing it (at least on Windows 10). In PowerShell as Admin type:
cd c:\windows\syswow64
regsvr32 ir50_32.dll
You should see an animation when starting the game if it works. To unload when you are done type:
regsvr32 /u ir50_32.dll
That will give an error message but I think it works anyway.

With that prize, I will finally be getting Tales of Monkey Island, "the one that got away" (and came back).

Hollow Knight is IMO the best deal in the sale (quality*time/price) ;)

By the way – what's wrong with Pilgrims?

fronzelneekburm: Why doesn't gog have an option to sort the catalogue by highest discount first? :(
Because apparently they don't want to make more money and they are tone deaf. In every sale people are demanding this option and doing so would probably be workload for a few minutes ... this little bit of work would raise sales because people actually would find those good discounts even if they don't search for them. It's unbelievable how GOG is not simply implementing USEFUL things for THEM and US.

And no, I don't expect any answer from GOG because that's another thing they simply don't do without any reason. GOG has become this nice store wih great offers, often non updated games (and GOG could not care less), and completely crazy politics when it comes to do what their customers really want.

I would not go THAT far but I'd say it is the most interesting and different Dracula game I ever played :)

Pilgrims is really, really short - it was more of a bridge till creaks finally came out (which imo is amazingly well done).

Despite my huge backlog, I got Hollow Knight, Pillars of Eternity 2 (Obsidian Edition) and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. Couldn't resist the flash deals...

Edit: it was my birthday a couple of days ago, so I tricked my wife into buying them for me :D

I am not much adventure player, but I love this game, because everything what have to be done makes logical sense (only two last riddles required walkthrough, rest only needed time) and it is unfortunately not standard for this genre.

My choice number two would be Blade Runner, which is currently -25 % (the lowest price I remember).

Well - the absence of the so called "moon logic" is in fact a critical requirement for a good point and click. Lucky for us they are quite a few - especially newer ones - that are trying to get rid of this.

What I really like about Dracula 3 (except for the fact that it is the full version in opposite of Steam) is that it tries a realistic story approach. It really feels real almost the whole time and not like something that#s straight out of a movie. In that regard it is more like Gabriel Knight which also mixed facts and fiction in a beautiful way to get the gamer more immersed.
Once again a dev/publisher is thinking that it is no problem to treat customer different on Steam and GOG. While Blacksad has a pretty good discount here on GOG right now it's still 2 Euros cheaper on Steam ... so @Microids: sorry, I won't support this. I almost bought your game but no, now I won't.
Well, I have also seen offers that are better here than on Steam to be fair. And I've noticed even a game that not only had a lower price here but also cloud saves on GOG and not on Steam, making Steam the second class store for once. Sadly right now I don't remember what was what.

Sure I don't doubt such offers exist as well. That does not mean that I intend to support it whenever they demand more here than on Steam - especially when it is the same sale. Microids wants to have more from me because I prefer DRM-free - bad luck, they'll end up with nothing this way. I feel a bit sorry for GOG because they don't do the prices, however given the fact that GOG still does not really put much effort in getting their games updated or fixing things that were reported MONTHS ago ... no, I am not that sorry for GOG as well tbh.

Is AI War Collection playable for someone who's terrible in RTS? I like playing the genre, but I always fail to coordinate all these tiny units ;) What's the learning curve of the game? I know it's complex and hard to master – but is it easy enough to just start and enjoy?

By the way – the new flash deals:
• $1.49 • -85% • Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete
• $1.99 • -80% • FTL: Advanced Edition
• $1.99 • -80% • Primordia
• $2.54 • -85% • AI War Collection
• $2.99 • -80% • Technobabylon
• $7.49 • -75% • Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus
• $8.24 • -45% • Unavowed
• $9.99 • -80% • Stellaris: Galaxy Edition
• $10.49 • -65% • Truberbrook
