yeah, no. I wouldn't use Uplay even if they paid me for it.

What's wrong with the client?

xa_chan: I have GOG Galaxy, Steam, Origin, Uplay and even the defunct Desura client. I must look so stupid to all of you snarky people...
Not to me, mate. You look like a gamer that likes games, and I don't criticize anybody for that.

I don't actually want to use Uplay myself, but people that do use it aren't causing me any harm, so I wish you the best of luck with it :)

KneeTheCap: What's wrong with the client?
Starting from the game launching when it feels like it to regularly losing saves, pretty much everything. Yes, I know some others had no issues with it, but that is certainly not my case. I'm burnt and will keep a safe distance, thank you very much.

Thanks for the answer. I myself haven't had any issues, so it becomes very easy to miss the client's possible problems.

This has been my experience as well. I'll keep an eye out for the freebies, but it would have to eb something pretty stellar for me to bother... and I'm not sure Ubi has anything stellar.
Ubisoft make some of my favorite games ever. I will be keeping a very close eye on this.

Particularly interesting to me, and any other Australian fan of their games. This is because Ubisot for some inexplicable reason a few weeks ago stopped offering their entire back catalog and all third part titles in their store. Now, if it is not one of the current five or six games, or a DLC for those games, Australians can no longer buy them.

I already have the Prince of Persia games here, so this first freebie is not for me. I will, however, be keeping my fingers crossed for some of my favorite games to turn up. Especially now the option to purchase them has been removed.

Wishlist:
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
Splinter Cell: Double Agent

Assassin's Creed II (Complete / GotY)
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (Deluxe)
Assassin's Creed: Revelations (Gold)

Far Cry 3 (Deluxe)
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

Rainbow 6: Vegas
Rainbow 6: Vegas 2

I also never had a chance to play the following, before they were removed from sale. If any of these turn up, I'll be quite happy.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (complete) | Child of Light | Valiant Hearts | Call of Juarez: Gunslinger | Rayman Legends

Thanks for the heads up, Koima57. I already have UPlay already due to playing Might & Magic X, so I may as well get a few free games in the deal.
It's a conspiracy by GOG to trick me into buying more:

step 1: DubConqueror has got UPlay installed to play Valiant Hearts and Far Cry 3 (and those games are worth it),

while at the same time, GOG has Prince of Persia Sands of Time but DubConqueror was never interested in the game

step 2: Prince of Persia Sands of Time FREE on UPlay

step 3: DubConqueror gets Prince of Persia Sands of Time on UPlay

step 4 (going on in a DubConqueror's mind): wait a minute, this game I have can be had DRM-free

step 5: DubConqueror decides to buy Prince of Persia Sands of Time (which - see step 1 - DubConqueror wasn't interested in beforehand)

step 6: PROFIT FOR GOG

step 7: you all must think I am a dumb and stupid DRM-free addict, rebuying anything he owns if he can get it DRM-free...

Wishbone: UPlay? No thanks.
Yeah I agree.
If it was really free, I'd accept.
I won't install this turd just to get PoP.
I already finished that game in my PS2 a few years ago.

Have those been removed from Steam in Australia as well? Maybe from some other inexplicable reason you can still get them there.

Please tell me they were removed because they're no long going to be Uplay exclusive.

Child of Light and Valiant Hearts (along with Might and Magic X) are some of my huge "want to play" games.

For the record, while these days I directly don't bother at all with ubisoft games, there was a time when I bought AC3 and then played the pirate version just so I could skip Uplay. .
Ah Uplay. Nothing is better than fighting a huge battle in HommVI and then your connection dropping... And lo and behold the game kicks you out...
