Challange accepted!
Progress update on Eye of the Beholder:

So far I've mapped the first two levels of the dungeon. Might have to start from the beginning again though, because I run out of food and haven't learned the spell to create it yet.

Like the game, but the fact that you just have one save-slot is a little frustrating. It's not too annoying though, because once you've mapped a level, you should be able to clear it very fast.

Mapping is a little harder than in other games from that time. Mainly because you don't have a spell to tell you the coordinates on the map. When you hit a teleporter you don't have an idea where it takes you (and sometimes you don't even realize you were teleported).
Progress update on Spelunky

Man is this game challenging. I'm currently in the Ice Caverns world and I'm struggling to get a gold key all the way from The Mines to The Ice Caverns for the Tunnel Man so that he can make a shortcut to The Temple.
Progress update on Spelunky

I've made it to The Temple but I don't know if I can go further because it's insainly difficult.

I'm not sure if you want to hear it but the Temple is only a semi-final level. Sure, you can beat a boss and win the game but if you are looking for a real challenge there is a secret level after the Temple with a secret final boss. It's Hell. Literally and figuratively ;) I was extremely proud when I finally finished it :D

EDIT: and a small tip: I always found it easier to go through a temple without using any shortcuts. Sure, you have a lot more occasion to die but you can also amass quite a lot of useful equipment including bombs which are really handy in the temple. Four bombs may not be enough...

Progress update on Spelunky

Thanks for the tips, I can't belve that I just managed to beat the boss. I was very lucky because I found 15 bombs in the crates above him.

I will be happy if a gentleman would choose my next game:

GOG
Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Complete
Expeditions: Conquistador

Steam
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
Company of Heroes
Darksiders II
Dead Space 2
Deus Ex Human Revolution( not the Director's Cut version)
Dustforce
Civilization V

I cant belive that I'm so close to finish my backlog :)

Congratulations on beating Spelunky! For your next game, I choose Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete, one of the best games ever made. Period. I assume finishing it will take most of next year ;-)
Have fun!

For my own progress on Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga, I sadly have to declare that I did not play in the last few months, so no progress there from my side.

Because of your progress updates, I got curious and started the game myself. Damn, that's really a difficult game. Normally I'm quite good at platform games, but so far I haven't even finished the mines.

Thank you ! I will gladly start Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete.

Thanks! The game it's difficult until you learn the mechanics. Just try to smash as many loot crates as possible and don't hurry.

Good luck :)

The "Don't hurry!" part is quite difficult. Because the ghost shows up quite quickly and starts chasing me.
Progress update on Baldur's Gate - The Original Saga

Today, I can finally say: I finished Baldur's Gate and its Add-On Tales of the Sword Coast! Yay! :)
I had a good amount of free time to spare and plowed through the remaining quests, ventured into the Cloakwood and the Mines, visited Ulgoth's Beard and explored Durlag's Tower, shipwrecked on a Werewolf Island and explored the city of Baldur's Gate... and crossed Sarevok's evil shemes and finally got rid of the man. ;-)

Overall, I enjoyed the experience, yet I must say that it felt "draggy" for me sometimes and more like a chore to do. Maybe it wasn't the right time for me then.

For my next game, I need something much quicker and less complicated and therefore I am only giving two choices. What shall it be, gentlemen?

Escape Goat 2
or
Hotline Miami 2 - Wrong Number

Cheers!

Congratulations on completing Baldur's Gate!

As the next game you should play Escape Goat 2. In my eyes it's a very good sequel to the first game and I had a lot of fun with it (except for the last level).

Thank you, PaterAlf, I will play Escape Goat 2 next. I also enjoyed its prequel which had a very difficult last level, too! Looking forward to this one.

A truly marvelous sequel to an already very good first game. The puzzles are always challenging, graphics have improved, the soundtrack is great - it's simply fun to play! Thanks PaterAlf! :)
Today, I have already seen the credits as I left the tower - but I could only rescue half of the sheep. Therefore, I don't consider the game finished for me until I have done so.

Cheers!
