PaterAlf: I read this thread, but I also saw that he stated that he wants to make everything right again. So as long as he behaves, I will give him the benefit of doubt and don't see a reason not to talk to him (wouldn't trade with him or gift him a game though).
Thank you for backing up and that is correct, I'll make the situation right again soon. :)

BruceLeeForever: This is a great idea! I have a bunch of games on Steam (about 260) but a lot of them I really don't like (but I have for some reason) but I'm glad to list my small GOG library and I look forward to getting into some games! :D

My GOG library (Applicable ones anyway)

- Alone In The Dark
- Alone In The Dark 2
- Alone In The Dark 3
- Blood: One Unit Whole Blood
- Legend Of Grimrock
- Redneck Rampage Collection
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call Of Pripyat
- (The Ultima Collection)
- Unreal Gold

My Steam name is the same as here in case you want to look through those instead.

PaterAlf: Nobody wants to pick a game for BruceLeeForever?
avatar
nmorello11: Sure, I will. Bruceleeforever is assigned Ultima 7: The Black Gate, one of the greatest RPGs of all time.
Sweet, can't wait to start it! :D

EDIT: Question. Which Ultima 7 is the first one to start with? Black Gate+Forge of Virtue or The Serpent Isle?

You have to start with The Black Gate + Forge of Virtue.

Have fun. Remember to buy lots of food at the start, and look out for "the hoe of destruction", and the magic carpet.
I figured I'd give a quick update on my progress with Silver. It's quite different from what I remember / thought it was like, but it's still kinda neat. The combat is fun, but I find it hard to target properly a lot. So it ends up just being hammer CTRL and left mouse click as fast as I can. So far, I would barely even consider it an RPG and would liken it to other "near-RPGs" like Gauntlet Legends. I have the game on Dreamcast and I'm curious now how it plays on there, specifically the controls and interface, since they're a little clunky on PC.

I've only played about 2 hours so far since I didn't have much time to play last week. However, I did update (shameless, but relevant plug) Completionator so it has a bounty system! This is very similar to the "challenges" idea I shared with you guys a while back, but with a few modifications. Check out the forums if you're interested in it, but the short version is you can accept a bounty on a game (listed on the home page) and your goal is to complete it before time expires.
Not much new I can tell you about my progress on Might and Magic III: I have some pretty good equipment now, but still don't understand exactly what the different materials do (some give bonus on amor class, but some seem to do nothing). The characters in my party are between level 9 and 11 now and don't die that easily any longer. I mapped most of the first big Island as well as two cities and four dungeons, but I also found a dungeon that killed my party within seconds (I couldn't even make the one step needed to reach the exit again). Not much strategy is needed in combat against weak enemies, but gets more interesting against strong ones.

All in all I still enjoy every second I'm spending with this game.
Didn't got too much progress on Thief at the moment. I played around 1-2 hours last time and didn't figured the first level. Yea, i'm dumb that way. :)
Meanwhile i went into an old-school FPS phase. I played a lot of Quake 1, Wolfenstein 3D, finished Serious Sam 1 and started the second. I even discovered some Quake 1 servers that are alive, so i had some fun with that.

Just a quick update. I've started Sam & Max Hit the Road, but progress has been minimal, I'm still around the carnival. It's growing on me though, I might make a push before the New Year. =)

There might, but in this period we're drunk, lying in a ditch somewhere.
Can't tell you anything new about my progress with Might and Magic III. I was away from home for more than a week and before that I was busy with Christmas stuff. Hope I'll have some free time to play when the new year starts.
Got a little crazy with Steam sale.

Alpha Protocol
Tomb Raider
Dungeon of the Endless
Endless Legend + DLCs
Crypt of the NecroDancer
Ziggurat
The Escapists
Civ V - Brave New Word
Lords of Xulima + DLCs
Unity of Command Trilogy Bundle
Grim Dawn
Jagged Alliance 2
Teslagrad
Transistor
Nova-111
LISA + LISA the Joyful
Creeper World 3
Ring Runner: Flight of the Sages
This War of Mine
NEO Scavenger
Underrail
Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
Homeworld Remastered
Undertake
Sword of the Stars - Complete

So yea, those should keep me busy for a period. I pretty much put Thief aside for the time being.

Good :P I was afraid I was the only one that was lagging behind in progress with my assigned game. I'm slightly stuck in Commandos, but I can probably push through. Aside from that, I finished Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and played a lot of Dying Light.

That isn't your fault. In Thief (1 and 2, not so much in Deadly Shadows), some of the levels are quite large with multiple points to enter your objective so it's quite easy to get lost. The 7th mission (IIRC) is one of the nastiest levels. You have to acquire a high amount of loot and most of it is hidden in the dark. I've only played through the game twice but each time I played that level, I started over from scratch. The first mission isn't too bad but it is still fairly open in how you approach it.

Thief 1 and 2 and not games I would recommend if you're in a hurry to cut down on your backlog :P The pace is quite slow and you have to be quite a bit more attentive than you would in other FPP games.
