Themken: Now we have had monitors with variable refresh rate for quite a long time with support from the graphics cards and operating systems/drivers. I just wish that it would be easier to turn it on in Linux and harder to mess it up :-(
It works pretty well for me (KDE Wayland session). I think the only remaining issue for adaptive sync is something with cursor. But it's being worked on.

I'm using AMD.

Games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Everspace 2 work with adaptive sync / VRR nicely for me.

I think those focused on gaming are less likely to use Gnome becasue of that. KDE in general updates gaming features pretty timely.

Uhmm, maybe, I searched rather quickly and am thus not too well informed.
Does anyone have an RDNA 3 or RDNA 2 AMD card? Can you please test if latest GOG version of CP2077 works with ray tracing enabled with latest Mesa and vkd3d-proton?

It hangs for me, but I so far didn't find anyone else with GOG version of the game to confirm it.

I DON'T have these cards, however, I'd like to give you a tip for the future:
please always specify EXACT package versions to be tested. "Latest" is a VERY subjective thing.
And for anyone using Arch, there is also the 'testing' repo.
AND some people may see latest == git.

So really, just tell people WHICH exact versions to test on ;)

Too late, that bug was already fixed and it's working now. And when testing latest, naturally always test latest git.

Well, in any case, you should ALWAYS specify, because what's "obvious" is highly subjective ;)
Obviously Ubuntu 18.04 which seems to be the latest version GOG supports,

Today I spotted a GOG.c*m website change: There is now a big lilac Discover Galaxy button at the bottom even when using Linux. It may have been there for a while but I only saw it today. I do not use Galaxy but still consider this an improvement albeit a tiny one.

It's been there for a long time I think. Nothing changed in regards to no Linux version for it, so it's "business as usual".
