I tend to enjoy games at least enough not to regret the purchase, but my one real mistake in the last few years was getting Continue?9876543210. I was like, "Sure, there's nothing wrong with a game being artsy and not really being about the gameplay. Look at To the Moon! Look at The Passage! Haters just gonna hate." But the problem with this game, it turns out, is that it *does* have gameplay, and it's horrible and makes no sense.

Also, I regret ever playing Duke Nukem 3D, though it's sort of hard to regret purchasing such a piece of gaming history at such a low price.

I'm not sure if your regrets are for real or trying to sell the game. Why the regrets?

timppu: I really liked KKND2, better than the original.

The only issue I had with it was that overly annoying "mission failed"-bug. And it was a big issue, admittedly. I still finished the whole game (three factions/campaigns), but I sure did lots of game loading due to that issue.

Then again, I didn't consider it as a worse issue than the corrupting save games in the first Age of Empires, yet I finished that game too + the expansion.
KKND2 had the corrupting saved games bug too. After the umpteenth "mission failed" bug on the last Series 9 mission, I tried to load the saved game only to have it corrupted. Okay, no problem, I still have another fairly recent save I can load, this wasn't the first time I dealt with this bug. However, when trying to load my next recent save, that one also got corrupted. Never had the problem of two consecutive corrupted saved games. My third save was saved right at the beginning of the last mission. I simply rage quit before I smashed my computer.

I'm glad you had better luck with the game than I did though..........

One thing GOG got right is making most games playable (I found issue with one that was helped in the forums), but for the most part, they work right out of the box. It seems for the really old games, they did all the DOSBOX tweaking and even the new classics work on Windows 10.

They're my "go to" for all games; not just because they are DRM free, but because they put in that extra effort to make the older games work on new systems.

Long live classical gaming. :)

Try getting FCOM for oblivion installed, then get back to us on how hard it is to install a mod :o)

You mean DN3D? I really hate everything about it. Mainly the sexism, but also every aspect of the gameplay. And the graphics. And the humor. I'm just saying, it doesn't feel like it was a huge mistake to buy it, because it was just a few bucks and I can think of it as more of a collector's item.

I didn't say it is. I was just going to give tinyE some tips to get Saints Row 2 running correctly if he had the Steam version, as it requires a mod and the mod itself requires some tweaking. It's not hard work but saving a few minutes is always nice.

Witcher 3:Heart of Stone

Wouldn't load my save and GOG wouldn't let me download the addons I would need to load said save. Then I started a new Heart of Stone game and the equipment I was given was such utter trash that it made the game unplayable. Ended up just deleting it and writing off the money I paid for it. Last Witcher game I ever buy.

The sexism and the graphics? You haven't been keeping up with music videos have you? I get the image that women are just as lusty as men and feel like they have to show off their body to get them.

If you can't ignore the 'sexism', definitely don't play the Saint's Row games.

While I appreciate your stance, I think it is one whose wall have fallen not unlike those between the divisions in Germany. However, I understand when something irritates one's sensibilities.

I really *haven't* been keeping up with music videos, so I'm not going to argue with that. I don't think the nudity/scanty clothes are really the problem -- I'm sure we could debate all day about what it really means or doesn't mean to sexually objectify a person, but I have no problem with nudity per se. Besides, most games put women in skimpy outfits, and although it often annoys me, I still like many of those games. In DN3D, the problem is that it's full of "women," but all they are is freely abusable static props. It's disgusting, and it would have been better to just leave them out, like most FPS games do.
