Treated myself to a new graphics card a couple of weeks ago, installed it a week later when my cable arrived (forgot to order one when bought the card. D'Oh!)

XFX GTR RX480 XXX edition (apparently their capslock is broken ;p), been a huuuuuuuuuuuge boost compared to my previous HD6850 :D

JudasIscariot: I recently built a new system with the exception of the Nvidia 970 GTX from my previous system :)
Post your specs please. :p
Got a GTX 1060 in December if that counts as recent. It has really given games a boost in both fidelity and framerate .I would be eyeing a Ryzen processor if I didn't need a new Motherboard for one as well. They seem as good as Intel.

Very nice Judas, very nice! I guess Ryzen was not an option since you bought Intel now. :D
It’s been a while since I have bought some PC gaming hardware but just 2 moths ago I’ve made my first move into console world and have purchased a PS3. The reasons behind this was:
-I had an opportunity to pick console, 2 pads, 2 moves, camera, and few games for a bit more than 110 EUR. Moreover I purchased console from my workmate who was using it on very rare occasions
-PS3 has a nice backwards compatibility with PS1 so I can finally play few PS1 games I purchased long time ago (Warhammer Dark Omen, Shadow of the Horned Rat, G-Police: Weapons of Justice). Also PSN Store has a nice selection of PS1 classics – as a matter of fact I’ve picked Fade to Black for less than 2 EUR just few minutes ago :-D
-although PS3 and my PC are, more or less, of the same age – as long as you compare games being released on both platforms – PS3 seems to be at least one generation younger. There is no way I could run titles such as FIFA 17, Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Space Hulk 2013 on my PC.
-as a bonus I have now Blue-Ray player and ability to watch DVD via HDMI

I wanted a processor and motherboard combo where I could easily overclock the processor either via the overclock switch on my motherboard or via the BIOS :D Plus, I don't want to have to update my hardware (except for the video card sometime soon..) for a good while hence the overclocking :)
I'll be building a secondary gaming rig soon, but right now I'm po'.
Treated myself to a set of lights. Erm, a mechanical keyboard.
Upgraded from a Logitech K120 (membrane) to a Logitech G810. (mechanical)

It's about as quiet as membrane one was, more so if I can ever remember to not bottom the keys out lol.
Attachments:
Bought an used keyboard, ripped off the keys and gave them some chrome spray. I fear the key surface is too rough for that shiny chrome look. We'll see how it turns out.

Also treated myself to a Perfecscope and 100+ stereocards. Should arrive in a few days!

Phanteks Enthoo Luxe big tower case.
Checked the pictures and still wondering why did they call it "big"?
This is the classic big tower, for example.

Edit: nice system, nice to see someone is watercooling. I had a manual custom watercooling during K7 era.

I haven't bought any new hardware for a while now, but I am very much in need of some long needed upgrades/replacements etc. Before long I'll be buying:

- A new Logitech G600 gaming mouse so I have 2 of them, one for backup. (mine is well worn and needs minor maintenance)
- New modern high end aluminum computer case, probably Lian-Li
- 240-500GB SSD drive upgrade
- 250-500GB 2.5" SATA drive for Zotac nettop
- at least one 6-8TB HDD (mid-high end consumer 5yr warranty, probably WD Black)

I increasingly need a new GPU to replace my aging HD7850, however not bad enough to fork out the insane cash gouge to get one any time in the immediate future. Will wait and see how the new AMD 580 pans out in the marketplace.
Bought a new Graphic card ( Radeon Rx480 4GB, replacing a Radeon 7870 ) , and a new monitor ( the previous one was 10 years old and started to show its age ) for the desktop . And an enclosure for my backup expternal HDD, the previous enclosure's power supply had given up .

Bought a seagate Firecuda to replace the HDD of my 1 yo laptop as well. Moving to Kubuntu. That way I get rid of that Windows 10 poc ( although keeping the current HDD safe as a fallback option in case of ) .
My self given christmas present that arrived for my birthday this year was a Raspberry Pi 3, which I'm using for gaming purposes.

So far it's been great to allow my girlfriend to beat the crap out of me in a few classic puzzlers.

Ps.: As an unemployed dude, back then, I had a bit of money to spare and the illusion that I'd find a good job quickly this year. T_T
I changed keyboard, my spacebar was breaking since October... Last keyboard (Strike, 70€) did not.. last... more than a year. This time i chose one poor UtechSmart at 30€... Backlit for my dark room, seem to do what it is meant to do... :)

My future upgrade will be in next year probably... From my Gigabyte GTX 970 to a Nvidia 1080 once the price get around 300€... I ever dream of a surround system sound but that's... Sci-Fi for now. ^^
