With JC2 off the list the only games I still need to keep an eye on now for Steamworks games are X3: Terran Conflict, Mount and Blade Warband, Darksiders and Civ 5 :D

And then GFWL: Zoo Tycoon 2, Fable

Impulse: Sins of a Solar Empire, Galactic Civilizations 2 (I so regret Elemental isn't in there :( )

Gog: BG2, IWD2, Fallout 1+2

And then I'll have most the random stuff covered xD
Wish I'd kept track of non steam sales before, missed some good deals on some of those I think >.<

Trine's really cheap on Gamersgate now if you haven't got it.

I don't have it yet, and appreciate recommendations for sure but as you might notice from the list, it lists basically all the games I can't get on Steam to begin with. For the rest my preference is to have them on Steam.
Some may consider it DRM, but I'm using it already anyway so for me it's a bonus since I kind of like having them all there for easy browsing/install :)

If anyone knows any more good games that should be mentioned that I can't get on Steam I'd love to hear them though so I can keep an eye on them :)

Then you must get this bro: http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-GWD/the-great-white-destroyer

It's what you get if you feed Jaws steroids, and get everyone on the beach high on glue. It doesn't have first-class production values, but it feels more polished than a Flash game, and it's just madly entertaining (and stress relieving).

Evochron Mercenary is also not available on Steam, and happens to be on offer this week at Gamersgate, so might want to look at that too. Seems to be a love/hate game.

Lol, not sure if I will be picking up the Jaws game but Evochron Mercenary does look interesting. I'll keep an eye on that one thanks :)

Also strangely this reminded me to keep an eye on Academagia: The Making of Mages, I want that one :E

Kind of wish the makers of King of Dragon Pass would decide to bring their game to one of these services but when I mailed them they said they were going to bring it to Iphone or something instead I believe :(

Luisfius: Also holy shit, Just Cause 2 is even more amazing than I expected, I decided to try x360ce to be able to use my controller with it since driving with the keyboard SUCKS ASS, and the game changes the displayed input on the fly, even on qte prompts that were underway.

Goddamn why can't more games have that.
avatar
nmillar: You don't need x360ce. Just Cause 2 supports the 360 controller anyway. My most played game on Steam. :)
Yeah, but the pad I use is a PS2 pad through an adapter, so I do need it.

$15.00 in Japan and Japanese language only =( -- Squeenix specifically patch out the English language option for our region. How pathetic is that!?

I wouldn't mind it, but only with English language and while I'm tempted to ask for help in having it gifted, I might just be better off waiting till a later sale in the year... who knows, maybe the US price will go down between now and then making the discount even better...

iOS more precicely so it'll be released for iPhone and iPod touch at least and maybe iPad later. See development blog for more details. I'm as disapointed as you are. Although I do own the game and it works perfectly, I would definately like to get GOGified version.

Ha... I just got this for $6 from amazon with free shipping. I played two levels of it and quit, it's a pretty bad game.
I'd disagree, it's the best stompy mech game we're likely to get for PC for a very long time, since Mechwarrior is dead and anything else is console exclusive. It's a bit of a weird experience, but you learn to love it.

20% off all titles in Direct2Drive with the code 'hailtothechief' this weekend.

Edit: That's for D2D.com; for .co.uk, use the code 'vatfree'.

Got it already thanks to your previous link and it was a rock solid deal at the previous price.

If you don't have it already, you'd be bonkers to pass it up at this last chance discount.

Should also add that I was able to download, find and back up this game quite easily.

Definitely not a bad digi dealer, they just don't have a very large selection.

EDIT

I meant EUROGAMER

Impulse is fair too and you can still backup but the stuff is dependent on their client.
