I picked it up, too. Demo was fun and it's $2. :)
I'm waiting to see if Borderlands ends up cheap somewhere. If not on Steam, maybe it's the mysterious 75% off game on D2D on Monday?

You're a few hours late. Still $10 off though.

Delixe: Mmmm, I'm aware. I was just responding to a post about the Impulse sale.
Steam's deals today are pretty good, although L4D2 was $30 at Gamestop today, making it cheaper than Steam's sale price.

melchiz:

Actually, on Wed, Gamestop.com, L4D2 PC began going for $29.99 + free shipping (for X-Mas season, on all orders over $25 are FREE shipping).
EDIT:
BTW, that KOTOR PC deal on Steam is rediculous. That's a freakin' Steal.

Know what's a steal? Me paying $10 bucks and Steam stealing my cash like that.
No, not really. Game was awesome though.

melchiz: Sins of a Solar Empire is a steal there at $10. Seriously, buy it if you have any interest in 4X games. Resident Evil 5 at $25 is excellent for fans of the franchise.
avatar
Delixe: It's even cheaper in Europe €18.99. The fact it was so cheap was the reason I mentioned it earlier. WECLOCK!

How can €18.99 be cheaper than $25?
avatar
Metro09: Picked up Madballs and have to say it seems like a blast after only two hours or so of play. Looks like the developers spend a lot of time supporting it, too. Even if you think you are only mildly interested, should grab it for $2. Reminds me a lot of fast past arcade action with updated graphics. Only real problem I could notice after my brief experience is that there seems to be a lack of autobalancing in multiplayer.
did you try co-op?

maciek: How can €18.99 be cheaper than $25?

It's not but usually when Europe gets these sales $25 = €25. In this case its about right.

Odd. In £ it's £14.99, which is $25, but €18.99 is £17 so it's still a bit crap. I thought Impulse had more faithful pricing than that, worldwide?

Lucibel: I thought Impulse had more faithful pricing than that, worldwide?

Nope. Their regional pricing when they use it can be far worse than that levied by Steam and GamersGate.

damn, i missed the KOTOR and far cry 2 deals. Were they on the entire day yesterday?

michaelleung: I found it to be ridiculously hard and bad. Even McRae's death does not mean an instant pass to good game fame. (Colin McRae Rally of before was actually good)

I find that the little indy game Xpand Rally puts all other rally games out to pasture. And it's like $5 on Steam. I vastly prefer it to CM or the horribly arcadish Dirt. No damage physics/crashes - no purchase.

CMR TOTALLY had damage.

melchiz: Steams deals today were meh. KOTOR was a great deal and anyone who doesn't have it should have it now. But the rest were unimpressive.
avatar
Delixe: I picked up KOTOR and Madballs. The crop currently up are meh. Madballs has had a TF2-degree of update support...for such a little weird licensed game, it's suprisingly how much the studio is supporting it, and that makes me want to support *them*. $2 is a steal.

Eeps, just watched CM videos, I was confusing it with Dirt, which had NO crash physics at all. My mistake.

Far Cry 2 ran from Wednesday through Thursday. KOTOR was only available yesterday.
