bansama: I never saw the video and got it a while ago with blue coins. It's not a bad game, but the camera angle is annoying as hell. Which is the only reason I never completed it.
The game looks awfully slow and monotonous. Is the actual gameplay like that? I'm not expecting fast paced gameplay, but it looks boring.

I never found it monotonous, myself. Just think of it as a cross between some MMO elements and casual time management games (but without real time limits). I was actually enjoying it, but the camera is just poorly implemented making it impossible to see from certain angles and that just put me off.

I'd say it was worth getting if you were just using up blue coins, otherwise, you'd probably be better of getting sommat else like King Arthur, perhaps? (I still can't decide whether to get King Arthur though =S).

In case no one has it already and were considering it, GamersGate appears to have a permanent 50% off sale for Medieval 2: Total War Gold Edition.

Its sells for $25 on D2D and $15 on Steam (game + expansion).

Alright I'll consider, thanks :D

-edit- I have a question. So it's basically a mix between Sim City and The Sims, with monster grinding?

lowyhong: ODD Society looks good, but there's a scarcity of reviews on it. Anyone played it before?

-edit- Nvm just saw a video of its gameplay. Forget I asked.
Lol. I stupidly bought it - it's very preschool.

lowyhong: Hmm think I'll pick up King Arthur, since at this price it's difficult to resist.
Hi,
I noticed that you're from singapore too.
How are your download speeds from Gamersgate?

Commander: Conquest of the Americas 50% off
Is this tasty sale a permanent deal or something that is gonna end two minutes before I get paid?

Please tell me it's not the daily deal. I'm shit out of luck if it is.

Awful lol. 40-50kbps max. Not a big issue for me though since I seldom play a game immediately upon download completion.

OTOH cw8, another Singaporean, says he gets download speeds of 100+. It may simply be an issue of low signal for me.

Monster grinding, yeah to get some of the supplies. Sim city/sims, not really.

Speaking of D2D's weekly promo, I wonder why they are still selling "I'm not alone" (at a higher price) when it's been removed from both GamersGate and Steam (who used to sell it for $39.99)

I can get a new sealed copy for £6.94 via a third party retailer on Amazon marketplace.

To be fair though, CA might actually see some money out of the digital sales, if Sega aren't as stingy as other publishers...
So what's up with ARES: Extinction Agenda, then? Reminds me of an amped-up Abuse, or of Megaman X while that series was still good, but the word 'episodic' makes me cringe and the RPS comments are mostly lukewarm.

Speaking of download speeds, mention it to support in a polite email. The more who do, the more likely they are to finally provide local servers for Asia-pacific/SE Asia.
