GameRager: Looks nice....how much is it now, and where can I find it?

What really gets me is all the DRM Free titles showing up on D2D and Gamersgate like these. I want to get them here on GOG. What is the issue with getting them here if the IP holder is willing to sell DRM Free elsewhere?

nmillar: Actually, can I grab a word with you on Steam at some point? No immediate rush.
Steam actervationed! I'm supposed to be busy. But that doesn't seem to be working out at the moment. So what the hell?

Better to worry about what happens when publishers realize gog isn't the only place they can sell these 'old' games.

Region restrictions? Inflexible price points?

I still use the paid for access one that I subscribed to back in around 2007 (for watching US shows). Subscription has long since run out, but I still have access to the few free proxies they keep running via the client software. It's just slower now =/ Still not bad for the $19.99 I paid in the long run.

I'm not going to post exact instructions here though (if too many people start doing it, GG might further restrict the site) but send me a PM on Didimatic and I'll give you more details.

Too bad they're restricting this one to NA only. ROW is allowed to buy the original game, but denied its prequel. *sigh*

I guess I'll just use a proxy and pick it up when it's 50% off on GG. Would have preordered but if a publisher won't release worldwide, I won't give them full price.

GameRager: Is it on impulse? Or if it isn't do I need to dl another client like with impulse for Gamersgate? I don't want a million clients installed on my system to deal with, is all.
avatar
Delixe: No, no client from GG just a downloader. It's also DRM free.
This.

Dragobr: Not really a deal, but I just noticed GamersGate now has Shining Force 1 and 2 for sale on the Sega Classics collection for $3 each.. Also, Sonic 2 and 3 for $5.
I'll be damned. Streets of Rage and Shining Force are the shit! Now I just need GG to release Shadowrun, and I'll be frothing at the mouth.

I'm hoping the next set will contain SOR 3 and the Phantasy Star games (especially 3, which will be an instant purchase).

Only $35,000 revanue in sales over 7 months is pretty bad especially considering it's been sold in every DD store and authors own site. It's especially bad considering game's development cost $235,000.

I guess that's because the game is almost never on big sale (50% off or more). I think the game wasn't even discounted at all during Steam's holiday sale.
