Foxhack: It was. $20-ish on the first day of the sale.

And a friend gifted it to me a day before. :(

Delixe: 40%? Thats a pretty shitty discount on a very old game.
The regular price is $30 for the game with ALL expansions (Game of the year edition).

And shitty, well, I dunno. :P

Well maybe I am spoiled with all the bargains in the Steam sale but I think a $30 game being reduced to just $20 is pretty shitty. Transformers is on today which is a much newer game again $30 but it's $15.

IT'S $20. In America, anyway.

Well €14.99. I just assumed it was €=$ as usual. Activision with fair pricing? Is Bobby ok?

Bethesda doesn't typically discount their games that much on Steam -- usually the biggest sale you'll see is 50%. I think Oblivion and Morrowind have been 75% off at times but obviously those are obviously much older titles than the recent Fallouts.

I recommend to anyone who can to skip FO3 and jump straight to New vegas..

Why?

My gameplay hours:

Fallout 3-2 hours
FNV-21 hours, 5 of which were from a previous save which i lost (so yes i restarted the game)

What the hell did you not do in FO3? I got over 35 hours in that game by doing most of the quests and DLC.

I just found it crap, especially when you have to go through the subways...

FNV was different. Cowboys good quests, no bloody subways...

Fallout 3 - 290 Hours. Fallout: New Vegas - 152 Hours. So yes New Vegas is better given how little time it's been out but it's likely you haven't invested in some serious modding with Fallout 3.
Amazon.com has the "Buy One Game, Get One 50% Off", console games

Mmm I guess thats a personal thing, but I think its a little irresponsible to advise people to skip a game that is probably one of the best games of its genre ever made.
