trusteft: They are good to pretty good, if patched, but the major question is if you could play a game which has (IMHO) aged so bad over the years. Mostly graphically.
avatar
chautemoc: I love them but I really recommend just skipping to Risen (same dev), which has most of the same elements but is modernized. They are really rough nowadays.
And if one wants to pick up Risen, it's currently cheaper on Gamersgate (50% off - $14.98) than it is on Steam (25% off - $22.49). :)

chautemoc: $20 http://www.impulsedriven.com/fallout3goty Avail. worldwide
Available world wide it may be, but it has some of the most horrendous regional markups I've ever seen. Fallout 3 GOTY price on Steam: $49.99 RRP, current sale price $37.49. Price on Impulse (no sale here by the way): $85.44

So, fuck off Impulse.
Just noticed that ArmA II just dropped to 75% off - $9.99 on Gamersgate. Sweet! I wonder if that's an indicator that it will be among the Steam sales unveiled later today, since GG has really started aggressively sales matching lately.
I don't know about you guys, but I finally did it. I bought CoD4 and Spore bundle, plus the Flight Indie pack. I feel ashamed.
But cheerful.

Something seems to be wrong with what you're seeing, because I see it at the equivalent of 20 bucks US in my country's currency. O.o

Wait, so you're in the Philippines and see a pretty similar price to what we get in North America, and in Japan they get quadruple that amount? That's...weird.

Only thing wrong here is the way Impulse are trying to price gouge us. But then, that's why I refuse to buy from them except in very rare occasions (when the price is $10 or less and can't get a better deal from another site).

For reference:

Fallout 3 GotY $85.44
Oblivion GotY Deluxe $69.40
Oblivion GotY $57.44
Morrowind GotY $21.54
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth $21.54

At the following exchange rate pulled off from XE:

1 USD = 44.13 PHP

I view the following prices (first in PHP as displayed by Impulse followed by sale price if available, second in USD as calculated from the XE conversion rate together with sale price calculation):

Fallout 3 GotY - PHP 1327.21/928.91 - USD 30.08/21.03
Oblivion GotY Deluxe - PHP 1105.93 - USD 25.06
Oblivion GotY - PHP 884.66 - USD 20.05
Morrowind GotY - PHP 884.66 - USD 20.05
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth - PHP 884.66 - USD 20.05

That's what they're offering me. PayPal's conversion rate is fractionally close.

paulodepaiva: Are Gothic 1 - 3 any good? I am feeling very tempted to buy them for 11 dollars on steam.
avatar
Rohan15: If you can adjust to the game's odd combat system, then yes.
Is there a way you can mod Gothic 2's awful combat? If so I'd definitely be interested in that.
Thief 3: Deadly Shadows is $5 today on Green Man Gaming, pretty nifty if you still have free credits from their first sale. :P
King's Bounty: Crossworlds is 70% off today on Gamersgate. Now that's more like it, 1C Advent Calendar.
Didn't buy anything from Steam . I already have AvP and JC2 .
*off*
I've got a troll on the steam forums. He called me a scammer .

Steam forums will still be Steam forums I guess.
Amazon having 180+ games at 75% off in their downloads section. I picked up Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 for $5. There's King's Bounty games, Penumbra & some others in there as well as some junk. I have downloaded 3 games now from Amazon with no problems & they say they allow unlimited downloads.
