Pheace: That's pretty ridiculous considering you can get most of the games for a few dollars at the right time.

I'm also a bit mystified at Portal's price point at this level, especially for a daily ...
I feel the same way! I got mine with the orange box for USD$7.50 on a thanksgiving daily deal.

D: Total shock! EU is the cheapest for a change in something xD
For Peggle Complete at least ^^

EURO € 11.98 € 4.79
USD $ 19.98 $ 7.99 » EUR € 6.08 (+26.93%)
GBP £ 13.98 £ 5.59 » EUR € 6.61 (+38.00%)

I won't be picking it up myself but if someone *happens* to want those I'll be happy to be able to help for a change ^^

Working on my list for the end of the sale xD
So far:

Sid Meier's Pirates! - 2,49
Sid Meier's Railroads! - 2,49
Children of the Nile + DLC - 2,49 + 0,49
X-com
Civcity: Rome 0,99
Harvest Massive Encounter 1,99
Indie Packs

And probably for today I'll pick up Titan Quest Gold for 2,49 Euro :)

There are some crazy differences in the regional pricing. The Paradox Complete Pack is 60% cheaper in the UK than in any other region. I'd encourage people to check www.steamprices.com to find the best deals and perhaps do an exchange with someone who lives in the cheaper region.

Wow, that's a massive difference >.<
HOOOLLLLLYYY SHIIIIIITTT. Just put down £40 for the paradox complete pack and Strangers Wrath and Munch's odyssey. Holy crap was the paradox bundle a good deal. I have wanted so many of those games for so long, now I have them all for the price I could have payed for one of them.
Notable deals:

Oddoworld: The Oddboxx for $12.50

Indie:
The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom for $0.49
Beat Hazard for $4.99
Guns of Icarus for $2.49
Toki Tori for $1.25
Super Meat Boy (DAMMIT, I preordered it...) for $3.75
Every single Indie Pack for $4.99
Eets for $2.49
Caster for $0.99
Amnesia: The Dark Descent for $9.99
Killing Floor for $9.99
Max and the Magic Marker for $4.99 (Somehow 92% off of an odd $59.95 price tag.)

Action/Shooter:
Battlefield Bad Company 2 for $6.79
Mafia for $4.99 (WOOT!)
Chaser for $2.49
Sniper Elite for $1.49
Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 for $4.99
There are a friggin ton of deals on Steam. I think pretty much every game in the entire catalog has been discounted to some degree or another.

I've got a whole whopping four dollars to spend on Steam related stuff. Can't decide if I wanna get Super Meat Boy, Elven Legacy, or an X-Com game (Already own UFO Defense)...

This is the pre-sale price of the Indie Kids Pack. The individual price for Max is $9.99, the pack price is $4.99.

I recommend getting the pack.

If it helps... You already own the best game in X-COM series: UFO Defense. Other X-COM games are average at best.

I have to disagree with that. Apocalypse is awesome. Granted, the series took a nosedive after that, but that's no the point.

Seconded. Apocalypse is great. Really.
It's just not the same game as Enemy Unknown and Terror from the Deep.
And I'd encourage people who are willing to help out with cross region purchasing to check out this thread, so that they are easy to find. :)

Well, Terror From The Deep is the very definition of more of the same. Nothing wrong with that when it's X-Com, but there would have been had they produced a third facsimile.

Apocalypse is a welcome renovation. It's interface is awful, but the underlying game is a classic.

Was I the only one who thought that Interceptor was an OK game? Repetetive, yes, but OK all the same.

I'll be honest with you, I haven't played either that or Enforcer a great deal. Maybe in its own right it's fine but it seemed to me to be an X-Com game in name only.

Just like the new XCOM, it would probably be fine with a different name.
