Rohan15: Wrong music I guess. I was playing on a heavy metal only playthrough which was very challenging. I played a few rounds on some classic music and that was pretty good as well. I'd assume hip hop is hard as well.
If that crap has any complexity, then I don't know what to say about orchestral uplifting trance.

(assuming the game makes the levels my judging the track's complexity and composition)

Gundato: I have a spare Gamersgate copy of Splinter Cell: Conviction that I'll trade someone for two 7 buck GoGs (so $13.98). Reply here or hit me up at this nick at gmail if you are interested.

And be warned: It may be GamersGate, but it still has UbiDRM. It isn't THAT bad (and SC:Conviction has multiplayer, so it at least is sort of tolerable to need an always-on internet), but I fully understand if people don't like that. Fun game though.
SC:C is a GamersGate gift?
http://www.greenmangaming.com/games/hitman-2-silent-assassin/ 2.5$ Hitman2

Wouldn't really call it a "gift" since I am charging, but yeah :p

Basically, a month or two back they had a Buy1Get2 for SC:C. Couldn't find anyone at the time, so just bought it and figured I would wait until an easy trade could be done. For what it is worth, I think it was technically worth 15 bucks (30/2), so whoever does the trade is getting a deal :p

I think it has more to do with the beats produced by the song and the rhythm. Like songs with heavy drum parts make it very intense.

IIRC the demo of it was terrible. Well, the demo was fine, the game was terrible in detecting the music. It just felt like most old (I haven't used it for years) winamp visualizations where I was expecting them to react/follow the music and was just like "FU i will just do something else".
For me there is no other game than Audiosurf in detecting and playing accordingly. Which is sad.
Steam Mid-Week Madness: Killing Floor for $6.80

Well it's cheap, but i would prefer Alien Swarm/Alien Breed/Shadowgrounds over Alien
Shooter.

Killing Floor is sooo good, and this Christmas Event makes it even better ^.^
The new Pyro model looks great, but i dont want to buy TF2 just for that. :S

Football Manager 2011 is 30% ott on Steam.

Get an American to buy it for you (or simply be American), and it's yours for the price of $28/€21/£18. (Conversions courtesy of steamprices.com)
Slighty off-topic but GamersGate are running a test by selling RUSE. If it proves popular enough, they may well change their current stance on Steamworks titles. Probably not a big deal to most, but this is huge for people in my situation.

So if you're interested in RUSE and the price on GamersGate is the same as on Steam for your region, please purchase from GamersGate, you'd be helping your fellow gamers in Japan and other regions where Steamworks titles are often restricted on Steam at a whim.

Addendum: It's not just RUSE, you can also get Lead and Gold too....

It's a double edged sword though as you'd also be increasing the profitability of Steamworks-only games which could encourage the further adoption of Steamworks in future titles and subsequently more problems for people in your position.

Except that retail keys work. It seems that since MW2 and all the complaints from members of the US Armed Forces stationed around Japan who were unable to activate the game off-base (apparently resulting in reissues of Armed Forces specific keys) they've quietly dropped the IP blocking on activation for both Steam based gifts and retail discs -- I had no problems with COD: BO for example (despite naturally being restricted).

Which means, purchasing from sources other than Steam now seems to be a safe bet for bypassing their blocks. And yes, that means I could buy Mafia 2 from somewhere like GetGamesGo (and would if they'd put it on sale) and have it work despite it still being a prepurchase (that will never be released) on Steam.

Mafia 2 still isn't released there? What's the latest bullshit excuse on that one? They were going to release it but the penguin mafia hijacked the shipment of the Japanese version of the game so they could change all the characters in the game to penguins?

Damn, I shouldn't have written that. They'll add it to their Bullshit Excuses List now.
Impulse daily deal : Puzzle Quest 2 $4.95 ( no multiplayer mode )
