I haven't heard great things about it. On it's initial release it was supposedly plagued with bugs and borderline unplayable. Something must be up as it's one of the most discounted games on Steam -- seems like they keep trying to push it out on people.

trusteft: Another big FU to EU eh?
I think I will order it for the PS3.
avatar
nmillar: I'd be happy to gift a copy if money is transferred via PayPal ...

EDIT: Or in exchange for Steam games of equivalent value.
You are very kind, thank you. I will delay the purchase since I only have about 47 euros for the rest of the month and I will probably get it for the PS3 some time next year. Again, thank you.

Navagon: This might be UK only. You know what EA are like.

Do you know how it works? It does not show that I get half the money back at checkout.

Edit: ok, it works, I did something wrong.

Navagon: EA Store is doing a buy any 2 games pay 50%.

I don't know if this works with any currently active codes or with free games like Battleforge Play4Free, but it might be worth trying.

This might be UK only. You know what EA are like.

PincushionMan: Hope that helps!

Navagon: Hazen's episodic nature (and notable lack of subsequent episodes) is putting me right off.
Dimensity just seems to be bland and average according to what I can find out about it.

More money saved!
Very tempted to get The Sims 3, both expansions, and Dragon Age Ultimate edition, (I have Dragon age vanilla on the xbox, but i hear the PC version is better).
All of that comes to £42.48
(so £12.50 for Dragon age, £30 for the Sims 3 + Expansions)

Do you reckon its worth it, or should I wait a bit and see if it gets any cheaper.

EDIT: ah, it seems that there are actually 3 The Sims 3 expansions, and the latest one is not included in the deal.
I still think it might be worth it though, (can alway wait until the third one gets cheaper)

EDIT the 2nd: Decided not to in the end. Just got Sonic & SEGA all stars racing off Direct2Drive instead, (I''m sure these games will be dirt cheap eventually! XD)

Catshade: Hey guys, if you like Advance Wars on GBA, Gamersgate has this new similar game (you can even call it a clone) called Mecho Wars. It's currently on 80% off sale (99 cents), so worth it to try.
I now have only 87 blue coins. Ah, virtually currency. THANKS FOR THIS DEAL! =)

Kabuto: Anyone play Droplitz? I suppose in a way I've played it since there's minigames in bioshock like that but it's not exactly the same thing.
I actually like it quite a bit. Just don't go expecting a game of the year out of it.
A pile of THQ discounts on Direct2Drive right now. Company of Heores, Dawn of War, Dawn of War 2, Full Spectrum Warrior, Red Faction Guerrilla, Supreme Commander Gold, Metro 2033, Darksiders and so on all 50% off. Hmmm...Darksiders...

Also some SEGA stuff. AvP is about $7, Alpha Protocol is $7.50 and you can get a combo pack of Empire Total War and Napoleon TW for $25.

And ofcourse you can use the code HOHOHO or RUDOLPH for 20% off on any of these promos.

Sorry, I've got no clue. It could be a daily deal for all I know.
not a deal, but

dotemu.com now has a pack of 18 arcade coin-op games: http://www.dotemu.com/en/download-game/24/irem-arcade-hits

And they started selling games in US Dollars this week, but they are slightly overpriced when compared to the price in Euros.

MsbS: The Nintendo DS section has mostly shovelware, so it's "meh" from me.
I don't own a DS so I haven't even looked at the prices. I usually just browse the PC section of these sites.

Yep they're trying to push the games. Of course, Steam is a store and this is a sale.

But take yesterday for example: The Undergarden demo won't even run here for me, it crashes before reaching the main menu. Downloaded it two times, both failed to start. I wonder who's stupid enough, after the demo doesn't run, to go out and buy it for $4.99 or what was it.

Speaking of... Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is $5 on D2D right now (3.96 after coupon). So, I want it. But... well... it doesn't say anything about activation, other than something called TAGES.

Is that... bad?

TAGES is the worst of the worst to be honest. However in Riddicks case it refunds an activation each month. It's still fucking horrible but I have to say the game is worth all the hardship, it's two brilliant games in one for what $4 with the HOHOHO code? Buy it.

Delixe: TAGES is the worst of the worst to be honest.
Tages is very bad. That much I agree with. But I haven't had anything like the problems with it that I've had with Starforce. When DRM stops you from being able to boot Windows there's nowhere lower for it to go.
