Foxhack: I really wanted to use this coupon, but you know what? I won't, because I don't want to screw over a company that's given me many hours of entertainment. Silly, maybe, but I was raised right.
Actually, this might turn into a marketing opportunity for them. As for banning accounts, there's no need for that. They just need to troll through their order DB and have it toss out the people that used code X, and remove the games from each account. (Gets a little sticky if you've purchased one or two). Or they might say, "Oops, we screwed up. We see that you have interest in this, could you please buy it from us?" That kind of appeal is one that I usually go for. As for can it work, just ask Avast:

Kabuto: Right we're all terrible people. Did you forget the part that it's free with purchase of any game? So those who worked on wallace and gromit won't see a dime either way. And when there was an uber sale on age of empires III for 10 cents, I didn't see you complaining.

Foxhack: You're supposed to get the game for free if you buy something else. They're giving away the game at a loss because they're still making some money back through the sale of another item.

You didn't buy anything else. You took the game, for free, without another purchase.

You must be well aware what that means.

The guy tries to excuse his behavior by sugar coating it. Don't lose your time with him as I did.

Kabuto: Get off your high horse. Raised right hypocritical bull that you never do no wrong. Did I take advantage of a mistake, sure. But this whole my god they're going to go under extreme view is laughable. There is no make up. it's a straight loss. If people want another game, they were going to buy it whether a free game was involved or not.

I'll calmly wait to be prosecuted for theft according to you. In fact they can add an addfitional charge of stealing back to the future episode 1 since the code was intended for those who bought the dvd or blu-ray trilogy.
I'm not perfect, or a saint. But as I said... I was raised right - for the most part.

I never said they would go under, but I sure as hell won't contribute to them losing money, even if it's because of a mistake like this. I'll just wait for the proper sale.

I'm not excusing anything. I know I took advantage. I don't particuarly feel bad about it. Heck, I may never even get around to actually downloading it. If they take it away, that's fine by me. I was mainly annoyed you took a cheap subtle shot at everyone here who took advatage by saying how superior you are morally.

Um guys, make a thread about the discussion please.
Today's D2D deal is Test Drive Unlimited for $10, but it's (as usual) region-restricted.
Eeets is 75% off on Steam
I'm feeling really guilty over posting the discount code. I don't know what I was thinking. Sorry Telltale.

Can I just carry a statement across over to those who bought it without buying anything else: please follow the system as it was meant to be. Telltale is a great company, and I think they damn well deserve the money. I honestly don't know what compelled me to advocate what I did, but please, given the great support TT has shown its consumers all these years, there's absolutely no rational reason why we should turn the tables on them at the given opportunity.

Admittedly I may not feel so strongly if this was some other company, but as mentioned, TT worked really hard during the holidays to bring us so many great deals, and with a support staff of ONE, I honestly cannot put it on good conscience to do advocate exploiting their system.

Why? It probably has the long term effect of getting them way more revenue. That's how deals work buddy.

It's fine Lowy. They said they love me when I got those games.

Purebreed: Absolutely! flawed, but good and well worth the time.

Tyler62092: Yeah, I got it and have been wanting to play it for quite a while. But I figured I'd ask anyway.
What do you think of the others in the series?

Also about Telltale, I can't seem to retrieve my password. Is it because of traffic on the site?
Clear Sky is as, if not more buggy than Stalker. It's fun, but just expect more of the same from Stalker. Call of Pripyat is fantastic and is a major improvement over the others.

In a nut shell, grab CoP right off the bat and Clear Sky if you have an extra five bucks lying around. =)

Well hey what do you know, the W&G deal's expired already anyway. So I guess we can go back to the more important issue on hand: moar deals :P

Well what do you know, they erased the games from my account. I never bothered downloading them so they and I have become whole again. They really could have avoided this mess by doing a simple check that two or more items were present at checkout.

Mother....F***ers!
Nah, just kidding, I'll just buy them on Gamersgate when my money comes in.

And here I was thinking they loved me. =(

Gamersgate sells Telltale games?

And how is this "Eets" game anyway? Anyone know? I was thinking of getting it but it violated a cardinal rule of mine: Never reference a better game when describing your product... and this did it TWICE.
