michaelleung: How are you playing the game? As a total dick or as a saint? Or just neutral?

Haven't gotten far into it (had to go eat) but I'm playing good like I usually do (as I'm doing in Fallout 3 as well) with some dickhead-ishness sprinkled in for some fun. I just knocked out an idiot savant assistant to shut him up. It felt justified.

fuNGoo: Just finished downloading that monster of 10 gigs that is Mass Effect. My laptop can't run it at its optimum, but the narrative is holding my attention. And I'm not usually a story kind of guy for videogames.

Mass Effect has a lot of flaws and the plot itself isn't exactly anything new, but the writing, dialogue and voice acting are all top-notch, and a great deal of effort was obviously poured into the setting. For those reasons alone it's one of the most enjoyable RPGs I've played in a while.

the main storyline/missions are all well done, the side optional missions get a little tedious by the end when you realize EVERY building on a planet is identical. The planet driving also gets old very quickly. But overall solidly good/fun game.
I played female Commander Sheppard spec'ing mostly in pistols/sniper rifles. I think I was the commando, or whatever the one with tech/weaponry is, no biotics.

Posted this in another topic but posting here too:
I've ended up with two Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box digital download serials. I bought one from g2play yesterday which I need to resell. You will be able to register it to the EA download manager. If you don't want to install that particular bit of software, you can download the unlockable demo from Burnout's site or Fileplanet. It's verified working, I activated the demo and then used EA's deauthorization tool to check my PC was the only one activated with that serial. I did not associate it with my EADM account and it's now deauthorized.
Willing to take a small hit and resell for £8.50 to anyone interested, but would prefer to exchange it for someone able to gift me the Direct2Drive version of The Secret of Monkey Island: SE (you'd need to be in the US to do that).
Direct2Drive has a best of indie bundle deal for .95. Games in the bundle:
Project Aftermath
Aquaria
I-Fluid
And Yet It Moves
Acceleration of Suguri
Aaaaa!
Crayon Physics Deluxe

A-Pock: See? This is why I like Steam, this morning I was bitching to my brother how EA still has Mass effect at 20€ at retail, and how I was going to hold out until the inevitable price drop before mass effect 2 comes out, and then I get home.. and BAM!!!, Mass effect at 7.5€ on steam. Fukin' bought.

Why do you purchase in Euros if you're from the USA?
