chautemoc: jabber jabber... DANGEROUS TO DELIVER OPINIONS SO DEFINITIVELY.... jabber jabber
I questioned you because you insulted me. I gave my opinion and that is all. Dangerous why? Are you going to try and e-stab me or something?

Listen, this is a GAMING FORUM. You could easily have said "I disagree because.... *insert whatever*" rather than simply attack me. I explained WHY I thought this game was shit. I never ASSUMED anyone would agree, I simply said how I saw the game.

In fact, I think you're the one assuming. Remember the old axiom - Never assume because it makes an ASS out of U and ME.

Kabuto: Meh, I think your crazy. The time trials mode alone gives this game plenty of replay value. It's also fun for more than just a half-hour. You gave your opinion but I'm here to give second opinion so that someone else doesnt back out thinking your opinion is the consensus. I rate this game higher than Bioshock (which I thought was a great game too)
Now, this is a bit more constructive, but still insulting. No need to fling accusations of my mental health around is there?

What I think you boys (or girls... apologies) should be doing is explaining WHY it is a great game. I explained why I didn't think it was great - extremely linear and it just got dull after a while. You have a chance to show said person why they should buy it but you decide to waste it by saying "This guy doesn't know shit. OMG what a noob! This game IS awesome! TRUST ME TRUST ME!!!"

I'm not trying to attack back - I just find the whole situation absurd. Maturity wins the day every time in an argument. So, I give you the floor. Enthrall the others as to why they should buy this epic, legendary game... While I go and play a game I consider to be good. Such as Fallout 3.

*DISCLAIMER* Notice I said "I CONSIDER TO BE GOOD", so don't waste your breath bashing me for liking Fallout 3.

KTHXBYE

:edit: Also, re-read what I said - I TOLD the person to play the game first. It's not like I said "THIS IS A TOTAL COFFEE COASTER GAME! It sucks so bad that your granny would cry if she booted it up!"

KavazovAngel: By the way, grats for winning a free game at GG. It was kind of expected. :)
Heh. First I heard of that competition was being told I'd won something via direct message on Twitter. Still haven't seen the webcast thingy of theirs as Youtube refuses to play it. But apparently they selected the first lot of winners from people giving them feedback -- something I do a lot of =)

taczillabr: ...Test Drive Unlimited $19.95...

...Steam has now released these which were previously restricted in my region...
IIRC D2D used to sell TDU (may still do so) but it was only ever NA only. And nope, Capcom won't release their new games in Japan on PC anymore =( So those are still restricted here. Shame, guess I'll have to wait for a sale on Lost Planet 2 and then get it via GamersGate (by "going on holiday" to the US >_>)

If I already have X-Com, would it be not be worth it to pick up the full package? I'm most interested in Apocalypse's different take on the game since TFTD looks like just a recoloring with increased difficulty (and X-Com is damned hard enough as is).

Virama: snippity
This, deserves a positive +1.

OH! Guys, Miner Wars 2081 is going to not be on sale after tonight!
Ceville is now $9.95 on GG http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-CEVILLE/ceville. DRM-free. No idea if it is permanent price cut or just a sale.

To add on, it's permanent, as seen from the latest newsletter :)

I only called you crazy for writing ou lost interest after half an hour. The game is just warming up after half an hour. If you became annoyed at the 1 on 1 combat with celeste that I understand. In fact, it drove my crazy that if I didn't press disarm at the exact moment iin an interactive cutscene, I had to do the cutscene all over again like a dozen times. You talked about the game being linear but it really couldn't be that open in the end when you think about it.

As for trying it first, the game is selling for the cost of a 360 rental so it's not as if he's dropping major money on it.

Actually, I played it for well over five hours, hoping I would get some excitement. Sadly, I didn't - I only said "For the FIRST half hour it's like OMG OMG BEST GAME EVER".

And I've seen it for sale for $2 all over the place (Australia) and was intensely relieved I actually tried a pirated version first... Take what you like from what I said, but the fact stands, I am a hardcore gamer and I review games based on what I consider to be good, and this did not tick many boxes.

As I said - the FPS 2.0 perspective is great but the rest is just... Meh. Wish they had done MORE with it.

Well I guess TDU is worlwide on GG (it says Atari as publsiher), and I've never used D2D and even if TDU was unrestricted I probably still wouldn't use D2D.

Capcom wants you to buy a console and give them double the money you've already paid for the game, just for the DLCs. DR2 and RE5, for example.

With the sale, it's cheaper to get Apocalypse as part of the pack than to buy it by itself. Pack is $5.08. Apocalypse is $5.95.

You might even be able to gift the extra games, so it might be possible to trade away the ones you don't want.
worth getting despite the fact it's GfWL?

prakaa: worth getting despite the fact it's GfWL?
If your GFW client works flawlessly (it is for me, but some people get constant crashes), it's worth it. You can download the game, install it, and then uninstall the GFW client if you want to.

Let me know when you get it, would love a co-op partner. Add me to Gfwl also, if you like..same username.

I was up to post this as well, but what happened when I logged into my GfW Account?

"Deus Ex: GotY: Dieser Inhalt ist in Ihrer Region nicht verfügbar."

Translated, the Game is not available in my region... HATE, HATE, HATE THAT!

Well, Gamesplanet sells TDU with the DLC found on consoles, apparently it is exclusive to them.
