kalirion: Yeah, the Indie Story Pack is an incredible deal. I would've gladly paid $5 for Recettear alone, and $2.50 each for the rest (except for Gish which I already own twice over.)
Amen. The only thing that bothers me is that I already bought Recettear at GG for the "full" price a few weeks ago. But because of the other three games that came with it (I already own Gish on steam) I'm not angry in the least.
Add me to the list of people who bought the Indie Story Pack. I owned Jolly Rover already though, its a nice little adventure. I wish I'd have gotten it separate, since I'd love to give it to a friend, but whatever... Its fine as it is :P
Ok, I'm considering:

DeathSpank
Indie Story Pack
Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days

I can only afford 2 - which ones should I prioritise?
Indie
Batman

In that absolute order. I'd only like to point out that Batman has DRM. Bad one.

Kane & Lynch is crap. Personally I'd go with Deathspank and Batman.

I would say Deathspank. But that could be in an even better sale soon enough. 33% isn't a lot by Steam standards. Indie pack looks like extremely good value and Batman is just an amazing game in its own right, whether you're a fan of the character or not.

But definitely get Deathspank at some point.

Metro09: I don't want to go off topic and start a litany of posts like this -- but do we typically use this thread to organize pack 'buy-ins?' If so (<_<) I'd be interested in Puzzle Quest 2 and possibly Just Cause 2. The bulk of those packs are pretty overwhelming but hat's off to anyone willing to organize it.
I'm in for Just Cause 2. Say if you buy it, how can I transfer the money to you? I don't have paypal..

If the humour in this trailer ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AB_OQDAaX-0 ) appeals to you, DeathSpank will be worth your money. Otherwise there are much, much better action RPGs available.

nmillar: Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY
its a really good batman game, combat looks like a choregraphed movie fight, its really cool, and the sneaking mechanics work all good too, throw the batman animated voices into the mix and a nice plot, everything just fits so well, i only didnt like that you have no limit of the special sight, which is tempting to use all the time so you miss how beautiful (in a batman way :P) everything looks and the last bossfight also wasnt right (the gameplay was right, but i dont want to spoil what i didnt like)
its not just a good batman game, its a really good game ^^
Thanks for all the feedback, guys. I've already got Batman:Arkham Asylum Collector's Edition on the 360, so I'm leaning towards DeathSpank and the Indie Story Pack at the moment. :)

I just saw the GOTY Arkham Asylum game.....omg 10 bux?!? Are they nuts? INSTABUY! Thanks nmillar for the "advert".........I'd recommend it and deathspank as both look and play good(in the demos). Kane and Lynch 2 I heard is very short and got alot of flack from some reviewers for being too consoley/etc.....and even if you like it you should play the first game first.

Stil, it can be "patched out" via sites like mamefloppyworld, or something that sounds like that. ;)

gyokzoli: Yes I play it and I think this is the best MMORPG out there. But one month is not enough to accumulate enough money for buying the game time code with ingame money. I think you need at least 3-4 months for that.
avatar
GameRager: I've seen others saying it can be done, albeit with more experience and a higher "level". I used to play years back, but got bored with it....forget why though. Maybe I can try again.

EDIT: I probably disliked the mainly bookkeeping aspect of it and all the economics stuff....lucky for me next year is bringing an alien invasion thing into the mix.
During the last 2 years the cost of the monthly game time code raised by around 300%.
Lol, it's 50 EUR (67 USD) for me.

So it started at around 5 dollars then per month? Still, I imagine as the game has content added to it and as more and more people are loaded onto the game's single server they have to charge more to cover the better hardware and newer content and other costs.

At least it's a bit cheaper than WOW, and hopefully it'll stay the same for awhile.
