EA's Store is offering up another batch of games for £5. I don't know if the expansions work with the retail versions or what the DRM status is on these games.

Videogames were always more expensive in Europe. (I grew up in Spain). But now at least there is a lot of 9,99 euros games being sold in Spain, when I see them here going for $30 at the store.

The broken, unsupported multiplayer that even the developers admit is full of nothing but cheats? People pay for that?

That's what I hate so much about some MP games. When you got the money to buy it, they are already full of cheaters or always the same crappy mods/maps, or left to dust.
I'm waiting to buy the COD war chest on a deal, or wait more '5 years' minimum to Activision or Steam make a bundle with the newer ones.

Save for the very occasional sale, COD4 is still the same damn price it was over two years ago. You'll be waiting far longer than that.

Still $39.99 for a long time, yes. $15 is my maximum tag to buy COD4 and COD5, considering that we are almost in 2010.
