Gundato: For that price, worth testing out the service.

Thanks.
Wow, it is like GfWL is going out of its way to NOT advertise this crap. Nothing on the front page, no way to search, had to manually find Bioshock.
Still better than my problem. I registered and picked Czech Republic from supported regions and now it claims I can't buy it because my region is not supported.
So, nobody knows if Amazon's games are region restricted?

East India Company itself uses Stardock's GOO and I don't think it's region restricted however you can't buy from Amazon.com without a US address.

Honestly i have no idea. I know when i bought EIC there was a line in the description that said:

Downloading: Currently, this item is available only to customers located in the United States and who have a U.S. billing address.

So yeah id say theres some region locking unfortunately.
Didn't see it posted already. Click here for US D2D's special, which is Fallout: New Vegas CE for $34.95 +tax.

It's the same thing that happened to me with the free MP3. Bloody hell. :\

jlg6184: Impulse Deal:

Galactic Civilizations: Ultimate Edition - $0.99 (Originally $9.95)
Region: Worldwide

Gundato: Nifty, but I am content with GalCiv2.

Would suggest people wait for an impulse deal on GC2 as well.
Is the second one that much better, or did the first one just suck? Or is it just your personal preference?

Same deal on the UK site. £22.50 ($35.29) for Fallout: New Vegas.

Everything is a matter of personal preference.

That being said, GC2 is pretty much just an evolution of GC1. It isn't like TES3->TES4 where a lot of stuff was changed (well, maybe with later expansions, but whatever), but more just a matter of polishing and fine tuning.

Sort of like Space Rangers -> Space Rangers 2.

I'm eagerly waiting for a GC2 sale like this one. : )
GFWL has Bioshock 1 for 2 dollars.

http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-US/Games/Bioshock/

Slightly more expensive in the Mexican version of the store, but unlike the price difference that Bioshock and Saints Row 2 had, it is less than half a dollar. Silly.

30 pesos for a rather pretty, if easy game is not bad at all.

The Amazon stuff being ONLY for the US is crap. What's the point of digital distribution if everything is gonna be region locked like that? Grr.
For example: They are having Mass Effect 2 and Bad Company 2 for 14-15 bucks each. But noooo, only USA residents apply. Bah.

Also, the promo code LOAD15, it brings the total to $29.71. Times like these I wish the wife would lift the no new games til after Christmas ban. This likely won't be this low again for a while...

I fully intend to, but it won't happen. She has made it very clear, doesn't matter how "good" the deal is, I have to wait until after the holidays to make any purchases for myself.
