chautemoc: Divinity 2 Dragon Knight Saga $35 http://www.gogamer.com/viewproduct.htm?productId=121508226&extid=Nov1910 (US only I think)

I highly recommend it.

Note this isn't available anywhere else in the US at the moment (it's an import).
They keep talking vaguely about the original being 'remastered'. What does this entail? Is it just a few new quests or what have you, or is there any kind of apreciable optimisation? It ran ok on my machine, but I would certainly pick this up if I knew that there was an improvement to the performance.

This is more and more resembling a rouge's gallery of games that are always the first things on sale on Steam, but what the hell.

It's a complete revamp, really. New graphics engine/optimizations, performance optimizations, new features, and a bunch more stuff. Everyone I've talked to says it's much better. You can see the graphical differences here. Keep in mind they're releasing a patch at some point with all this stuff in it.

Thanks for the heads up. If thats the case, I'll put this on my 'to buy when the price drops' list.

Aaaaaaaaaaand fuck you, Rockstar. WHY DO YOU HATE MEXICANS SO MUCH.

About The Witcher, are Amazon.com game downloads region restricted? I once got an MP3 download there (via a free coupon I got in an email from them) and IT WOULDN'T LET ME DOWNLOAD IT BECAUSE MY IP ISN'T AMERICAN. Even though they have my US credit card info on file.

ETA: And I got a retail copy of Bioshock for $2, brand new, a couple of weeks ago. :p

Well yes, but I already have Divinity 2, so I might just wait for the patch, then when I beat the original, I'll buy the expansion. Or I might buy the complete set. I'm not sure yet. I like to keep my options open, especially when I have a backlog of games to play, and this is fairly near the bottom.

You think that Rockstar is the culprit? Try taking it up with Take-Two.

Did you buy Div 2 from either Steam or GamersGate? If you did, you'll get 33% off the price of DKS from the applicable service.

As I already had Div 2 on GamersGate, I managed to get DKS for $18 (thanks to having a bunch of blue coins to put towards the price).

Do be aware though, that you're going to want the hotfix so that you can remove the 30 FPS cap, tweak some of the settings and pretty much eliminate most of the stuttering/jerkiness that is present prior to the hotfix.

I would, but Rockstar is listed as the publisher.

Neato... if I didn't already have GTA 4 on PC and the Episodes on PS3.

Do I need the original? I kept putting off buying Ego Draconis.

To play the expansion..? Yes.

If you haven't bought Ego Draconis, don't bother. Dragon Knight Saga combines Ego Draconis with Flames of Vengeance, along with the aforementioned optimisations.

Ah okay, the posts here led me to believe it was a standalone. Also, I'm a bit confused between DKS and FoV. Am I right to assume that DKS expands on the original, while FoV is more like a new game on its own? Gamersgate's description is somewhat vague.

Wait, now I'm really confused. So I don't need the original?
