Metro09: I highly recommend Nation Red on Steam -- it's 66% off which is the biggest discount it's ever gotten. The developers constantly update/support it and post practically daily. Note that the game play isn't very involved so it's just a basic top-down/isometric zombie shooter but for $3.40 it's a good deal.

lackoo1111: what about the keyboard + mouse controlls ?
Work great. I've never owned an xbox/gamepad controller for the PC.

Thanks for the reply. Will try the demo tomorrow .
It's billed as a weekend deal, so I don't see it on the front page yet, but Steam has STALKER bundle (Chernobyl+Pripyat) for 75% off; the individual games are not discounted, however.
Impulse: "Until the end of THIS MONTH (October 31), anyone who purchase Elemental: War of Magic, will get the first two expansions for the game for free"; current price is $49.95.

Foxhack: Hahahahahahaha. Ahahahaha. Knowing Sega they'll try to sell the Sonic games for $10 each.
Yes, I know Sega does this.

Since Sonic is one of their most recognizeable franchises they are ALREADY seeling them at $4.99, while the other titles are all priced at $2.99. ;)

What I meant then is that they probably will make a pack of only sonic titles. And still overpriced, of course.

Great price, even if it's GFWL.

Navagon: There's a Halloween Sale on Steam. Nothing we haven't seen before mind.
Average sale, IMO.

What I would highlight is:
Amnesia (not cheap as the $10 pre-order I did, but $13.39 is a great price for it and they deserve the support).
AvP
Plants vs. Zombies GOTY Edition
Worms Reloaded

I've never played Nation Red, but will have a look since people here are saying it's good.
steam is really kicking it with the sales right now but I think I'll just wait for christmas with them

at that time, they always have insane prices
Purchased Bioshock and Nation Red for when my new PC comes in.
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-RISEN/risen $30

Buy it if you love Gothic series, RPGs or just...great games.

It should be obligatory to any of the guys who purchased Metro 2033, to also purchase these two games for $9.99.

Want another reason? STALKER 2 is confirmed.

Not a deal, but also worth mentioning:

http://www.gamersgate.com/DDB-GOTHIC/gothic-complete-collection-bundle $80

If GG will ever do a 50% on this pack, I guess I'll jump immediately.

Gothic is published by JoWood right? If so, chances are very very good for it to be discounted to some extent within the next 12 months. The Risen price drop is also permanent by the way, it's been done to match the new price on Steam.

Also, several sites are now discounting Amnesia, Steam has the overall worst pricing among them:

Amnesia: The Dark Descent
GamersGate: 50 % - $9.99/ £9.09/€7.49
Impulse: 50 % - $9.99 /£7.00/€8.00
Steam: 33 % - $13.39/£8.70/€10.04

So if you pay in dollars, you're better off buying from either Impulse or GamersGate.
Impulse is best if you're paying in Pounds
And GamersGate is best for paying in Euros.

Yes, Gothic series up to Gothic 4 is JoWood.

Risen is Koch Media.

I'd buy these two at 50% off, and both at GG since Steam has blocked Risen to me.

Wow... but that's atypical of Steam!

Sadly, Risen is not likely to get a temporary discount. GamersGate had been trying to get one for most of this year, and Koch Media have not been very responsive to their requests. As such, this permanent price drop is very likely the best we can expect for the foreseeable future.

I'll probably just pick it up at this current price next month. Along with the Divinity II expansion that is released on the 5th (price seems to be $19.95 or so), that should cover all my RPG needs for a while =)

Yeah, at a guess, the price was set higher by the devs, to cover Valve's cut (which rumors have it is the highest cut among all digital distributors at an alleged 40%).

Sad indeed, if they price dropped on Steam and then on GG right after then it's very likely it will stay like this, without temporary discounts.

I saw Sacred 2 Gold is also by Koch Media, would like to have a discount for it too together with Risen.

IIRC there's a kinda "definitive" edition of Divinity 2 coming soon, with the game and one or two expansions.

I'm restraining myself to get these games at $10, I'm not the biggest RPG player so I can wait.

And when a person buys that Gothic pack, that's yearsss of gameplay.
Sweet! Thanks for that! :D
