Navagon: There's a Halloween Sale on Steam. Nothing we haven't seen before mind.
Anyone have thoughts on AvP, especially after patches? I probably would only want it for SP..maaaybe MP if it was great but it seems like not.

Gonna pick up Worms Reloaded for sure.

To that person that was interested...

Yes, runs perfectly.

I was excited - until I saw the prices. Average game is between $7 and $14, and some are cheaper elsewhere.

For Instance:
Haunted House: $10 steam, $6.50 gamersgate
Gamer's Gate also has ObsCure for $7.50.
Bunch of other scary games at gamer's gate.

A little offtopic:
Why was ObsCure (and that obscure racing game) pulled from GoG? I cannot seem to find any info.

I want to know too! I'd definitely buy ObsCure if it was still here.

GOG said it was due to some licensing issue. Maybe with the music tracks? Said they'd get it back up but I guess that's fallen through.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know they actually commented on the reason for it being taken down.

nmillar: I already own the 360 versions of Bioshock and Bioshock 2; do the PC versions offer anything extra?
If you already own it on the 360, I couldn't really give you any extra reason to get it here as well. From what I have seen, it has almost no modding community (unless they are hiding...lol).

Better graphics/framerates, tweaking and kb/mouse control are enough for me.
What's the DRM scheme on Steam's Bioshock? Just Steam or something else overly draconian? I seem to remember this game being one of those with seriously DRMed retail copies in it's day.

Only Steam. When it was first launched there was also SecuROM activation but that has been removed some time later.
I highly recommend Nation Red on Steam -- it's 66% off which is the biggest discount it's ever gotten. The developers constantly update/support it and post practically daily. Note that the game play isn't very involved so it's just a basic top-down/isometric zombie shooter but for $3.40 it's a good deal.

Yeah, it's awesome.
