Are Red Faction 1 + 2 worth buying for $5 if I have a fairly large backlog already?

I've only played 1 and Guerrilla, not 2. However, I would say no. I found Red Faction 1 to be pretty bland and even comically buggy at times. Also, while the Geo-Mod technology was an interesting idea, it didn't really mean much in 1.

However, if you don't have Guerrilla, I'd definitely recommend that. It took destructibility in a different direction, and did it much better.

nmillar: A disappointing conclusion to the Civilization 5 saga:

Hello

We write to you because you have made a purchase of our Civilization 5 Download game. Unfortunately there was a price error on this product causing it to be shown at an obviously faulty price. The company that supplies us with the download games only supply a certain number of codes. Unfortunately this means we are unable to cover all the orders with the supply of cdkeys we can get from the supplier. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and will naturally issue you a full refund. Furthermore we will give you 3 Coolshop points (a value of £3) as compensation.

We thank you for your custom, and look forward to seeing you in our shop again.

Kind regards

Coolshop
I knew it, too good to be true.

And I guess it's not a giant company to be viable to make a big sale like that, on a recently released title. Hell, even the big ones wouldn't do that...

But they've been nice enough on giving a 3 pounds credit, to maintain customers there.

But I want my Civ 5, damnit!

Furthermore, do they work on Win 7 64? I know RF2 doesn't thanks to its inability to comprehend anyone having more than 2GB. But I'm still somewhat interested in RF1, despite the ever increasing backlog of doom.

Yes, I got the complete THQ bundle back in February, and every single game works on Win 7 x64.

Eeeexcellent. Thank you. What about Red Faction 2? Only it seems to have issues with more than 2GB, apparently.
Back to the Future is up for pre-order. It's $24.95 and gives you a copy of Puzzle Agent for free ($9.95 value).

Dogfighter 85% off on steam. There is also four pack for 4,05€.

Thanks for the advice. I do have RF:G, and it is awesome. I probably won't end up getting these, especially since I'm going to be able to play the Ball tomorrow (and I have a huge project due Wednesday...).

I've got 4Gb in my machine, so will download and try it now.

EDIT: Yeah, it wouldn't run straight away, but the workaround mentioned in your link fixes the issue.

Thanks for letting me know. Well as long as the workaround doesn't have any negative side effects (like limiting the RAM available for other games) then that's good news.

It would limit the available memory for other games; you'd have to go to msconfig and re-enable the RAM you've previously disabled.
Dogfighter $1.50, or a four pack for $4.50.

Awesome deal.
Chaser looks pretty good for it's price. Anyone play it? And is it worth the $5?
