Archon Classic is also on sale at Gamersgate. Has anyone here tried it?
Greenman Gaming is having a double trade-in value deal till Sunday, and a few games on $0.99 sale. The only notable one IMHO is Faces of War, which looks like a Men of War type game.
GG has Greed 3 pack for 14 dollars. Does it mean you get three copies of the game for that price?

I think so, but if someone who has purchased one of these multipacks could confirm how it works, that would be great.

VERY tempted to go in with someone on the SC: Conviction double-pack. ~15 bucks is a good price for the game.

Numen: Contest of Heroes is €2 on Steam. I don't even know anything about it but looks ok and for €2 a thought it would be worth a shot.

I would gladly help, but it looks like I am forced to upgrade my graphics card sooner than expected.
Numen, $2 on Steam.

I don't know. I'm fetching it out of nostalgia's sake mostly, but I loved it when I was younger. I also love that two to four players can play it on the same machine.

It's a mix between chess and... well, imagine you have a TBS checkered board and pieces like in chess, but once one of your pieces challenges another for a square, an arena opens up and you have to make your pieces fight from a top down perspective to decide who stays on the square (one vs one). The most common and plentiful units are knights and goblins, who chase around their enemies trying to club or stab them melee style, while the other units like the dragon, djinni, unicorn, basilisk and others run around shooting from afar at different speeds depending on the unit. Your "king" unit is a wizard/sorceress and he can cast spells. The wraith and the phoenix chase around and their attacks are a mix of melee and area damage.

As far as i can tell, the developers have improved on the game several ways and there's a mode where you can play the thing the old way sans any changes. I didn't feel like paying 15 bucks for it but I think I'll buckle for $10.

Watch some videos on youtube if you like, it might not be up your alley. I seriously doubt there's a story somewhere but I enjoyed playing this stuff with friends on a console as a good mix of action and strategy. It's more of a quick match time killer than a full blown deep or complex game.

Nice find! There's a demo too so I can still apply a bit of caution.

Well.... it's Archon, what else there is to say?
If you don't know it, feel free to hit that desk with your forehead - repeatedly. :) Then get at least the free demo from the developers.

In case you do know it, you probably have fond memories of it. It's a modernized version of an all time classic with added multiplayer (up to 4).

Either way, everybody should at least give it a try. If you don't, you're not allowed to call yourself "gamer" anymore. :)
Get Games have jumped the gun with a Halloween sale on 1C games link

You Are Empty, Vivisector, Necrovision, Necrovision: Lost Company and Cryostasis for €14.99. UK buyers switch the currency to Euro's to get it for a pound cheaper.

Actually that doesn't work. I tried that with another title and despite confirming my purchase in Euros I was charged the same (numerical) amount in GBP.

But I did get a full refund from them when I complained and the game wasn't removed from my account either. So I'm not exactly complaining about that anymore. I just thought that others should know, to avoid confusion.
