lackoo1111: can you purchase for example this from Japan ? I can't see any price or "buy it " button on the store page .
Actually, yes I can. You should also be able to as its removal was only temporary.

didn't noted that. Thank you, I think i'll be glad to pay 16.99$ for lost Horizon instead 33.99 euros (47,50$)
Casebook is pretty good. It's more of a hidden object game than a traditional point-n-click pixel hunter, but at the same time, it doesn't feel like a hidden object game too. This, coming from one who isn't fond of the typical hidden object game ;)

I say it is a hybrid kind of game because it offers freedom in the objects that you can interact with. Having tried the demo episode, if I remember correctly, you can be misled by non-crucial items, so you still have to have the capacity to piece the puzzle.

I'm going to abstain from buying it online though, as I intend to get the boxed version from the devs themselves eventually.

metalkidz: I don't think anyone want to miss this deal:
http://www.getgamesgo.com/catalogue/game/commandos-complete
Commandos Complete = 2.6$ (5 games)

carnival73: Awesome, can you find what you download from GetGamesGo and burn it to disc as back up or is it all governed by a client?
Not exactly. You get three activations (on different on reformatted pc's) and I suppose some registry license entry gets added to your machine. It sucks but it was only $3.33 cad so I'll forgive. Unlimited installs/uninstalls as long as you don't reformat. It's also a web installer only.

"Double-click on the file you have downloaded to start the unlocking process.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the game.
When the installation process has finished it will automatically take you to the authentication screen to confirm your purchase.
Make sure you are connected to the Internet and select the ‘Already paid’ option.
Enter your e-mail address and password (from your Get Games account) and select LOGIN.
Your purchase will be confirmed and the game will start automatically.
To play the game at any time simply double-click on the game’s desktop icon.
You can uninstall and re-install the game on your PC as many times as you wish – there is no need to unlock or re-authenticate.
To install the game on a new PC or if your PC is re-formatted, you need to unlock it again. Simply download the file again and follow steps 2. To 6.
You can unlock your game up to three times. If you need to unlock your game any more than three times please contact our 'Orders Team' "

Like GamersGate, Get Games will just keep giving you activations if you ask them.

One thing I didn't understand was payment. I changed the currency to USD and it showed $2.59. It said they offer different currencies so you don't get charged with credit card fees. However if you use paypal, they charge in british pounds no matter what making you pay $3.30. It's a meager difference and I would still rather use paypal for the extra security but it's kind of dumb.

Yes. Sorry if I was unclear. Different currency choices is for credit card payment only.

Also note it's a large 7.4GB download.

Yes Get Games are part of Eurogamer and based in the UK so it's better to switch the currency to GBP and pay that. Often there are region based prices with games being £29.99 or €49.99 but it's not enforced so always pay in pounds. Even paying pounds I bought Civ 5 from them and it worked out at around €34 which is substantially cheaper than the €49.99 charged on other sites. Same goes for the pre-order for Football Manager 2011.

Thats a recent price drop but yes Games Planet are also an option, they are based in France.
Oh man is commandos strike force bad. For a 2006 game it's very ugly, your player moves and aims like he's in molasses while the ai is very dumb. I installed all five commandos games but quickly uninstalled strike force. Classic commandos gameplay more than justifies the $3 cost.

Foxhack: Nope, I didn't bother with that. I tend to pass on Collectors editions unless they include extra games or such.

I'm waiting for a sale on Sam and Max Seasons 2 + 3 so I can get those AND the season DVDs for all three games instead.

I'll wait until the end of the year (and until I get a new video card) to buy ME2. :)

lowyhong: Dood. Are you a clairvoyant?

;)

That's right folks, S&M + Strong Bad only USD30!!!!!! I actually bought S&M some months ago at USD40. What a shame, all the more since I haven't even played it. Nonetheless, this is a wicked great offer!
Yeah thanks a lot I just picked up TMI for $5 and nw ALL of Sam and Max!!!!
