It's a bit like a cross between the level of control you get in Commandos 2, with the larger scale of Company of Heroes. It's definitely not the easiest of games. But very much more rewarding for it.

Oh trust me, I have enough problems buying games because of my stupid IP address. Steam won't let me use my US-issued credit card or PayPal accounts (I live in Mexico but work in the US and have a US bank account) in the main program, instead I have to use a browser to buy stuff; Direct2Drive, GamersGate and other sites keep trying to force me to pay in Pesos; and other sites won't even load.

They must hate my bean-eating habits.

To be honest, I didn't really check if it was a limited offer or not, I just assumed it was. Then I searched the topic and I saw it mentioned before, as the edit reflects, but it didn't really occur to me to check was it or why it was free. Had I known it was ad-ridden, I wouldn't have mentioned it.
