Been playing Secrets of Rætikon and it's a cool and gorgeous game so far. It's more arcade-y than I expected, and it's a good thing. Not a fan of the "decode the secret writing" aspect, but that's a minor quibble and some people enjoy such things. I'm making progress without bothering with that aspect anyway.
I have to say though, the Magpie has joined the ranks of those special characters that annoy the living hell out of you with the fiendish way it impedes your progress. It's such a rewarding feeling to finally outmaneuver one.
Was expecting a walking sim and discovered a physics-based flying arcade/puzzle/adventure. A nice surprise.

Not all games make mention of a Steam account. Compare (needs Steam account) to [url=http://www.wingamestore.com/product/3666/REDLINE/]Redline (doesn't need Steam account).01kipper

GMG Summer Sale Day 2 - Bad Ass. Mostly FPS/Action titles - Valve and Bethesda games seem to be the main runners for this day.
Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike, Dishonored GOTY and Doom 3 have the Free Game offer.

Thats actually a pretty good game - kinda has a mix of fallout and silent storm (ish) kinda gameplay. Just be sure to check the forums for instructions on playing with russian audio (see youtube for the english version). http://www.1cpublishing.eu/game/planet-alcatraz
Edit: note, it is a 1C game, so kinda janky, but if you like any other games they've published

How long do the GMG summer deals go for? 24 hours? Do I have to pull the trigger soon if I want HL2 and Doom/Quake deals? Havent checked isthereadeal.com yet to see how good these deals are anyway?

AirBuccaneers is free now on Steam, I think the devs have accepted that there's no more money to be made from it. Multiplayer was pretty much dead for the paid version but now it's free there may be a resurgence.

New deals each day, but the first day went longer than 24 hours so I don't know exactly. 75% off is usually the best you'll get from Valve and Bethesda, but the good thing about GMG is there's the 20% off coupon GMGSUM-MERSAL-E20OF on top of that. Day 3 of the sale is called 'Questing' and looks to be Adventure/RPG themed.
