pops117: Oh L4D sale...
A question to you people: are they worth it to get if I don't intend to play online?
For that price I'd probably say yeah. But I recommend you try playing it online a few times. It does add to the enjoyment. Even when it does go horribly wrong.
Yes, I heard the AI of the Survivors in Single-player is pretty bad anyway.

gyokzoli: But, if you like playing CS only with bots, then go for it.
I have a strong dislike for CS so this just isn't my type of game (well, I came to that conclusion since the demo for L4D anyway but the recent sale made me "hesitate"). Thanks for your thoughts!

I'm sure it does. It's just that I have given up on multi-player games years ago, only participating in some rare LAN parties since then.
I need some engaging narrative where I can immerse myself into instead of a couple of rounds of mindless fun. I was also looking at the mods but nothing to account for a purchase. I will pass :)

P.S.: The best thing about them are the trailers to be honest, I would love to see a full length movie. Made by Valve of course.

If you're looking for narrative then no, it's not the game for you.

It's not really their decision, and it could be purely due to taxation. It's not like the kind of $=£ crap you see on Steam after all. If you've got a beef with anyone, aim it at the publisher or simply wait for the games to be in a GOG sale.
Hi.

For europeans only I think : Alpha Protocol for 2.50€ on GreenManGaming. Don't worry about their DRM as they give a Steam key.

I personnaly got it for free as I had a free game (from one of their promo) that I traded in and used the cash to buy it.

This may be limited in time, so hurry up !

Yeah, it's still full price in the UK, so maybe it's Euro-only countries.
Galactic Civilizations II is 8.95$ at Impuls.

Is vanilla worth it?
Gamersgate is having a 60% sale on Hearts of Iron 2 Complete, Arsenal of Democracy and HoI2 DD Armageddon.

Is Arsenal of Democracy better than HoI3 + Semper Fi? Thinking of getting it.

You can try the instructions there (i.e. proxy), maybe it works:

For info I am from Belgium and I didn't need to use a proxy.

Wow. Greenman Gaming have just become utterly useless with the regional restriction of any game that uses Steam.

Thanks for the info. But I already have the game. But it should be useful to others.
