angstrom: X-com Complete Bundle is $6 on D2D.
Should I go for it?
avatar
Kabuto: Absolutely. That's a great price. They should be drm free also. X-com defense page says drm-free on d2d. The others don't but they could have forgotten. Regardless, what kind of drm can you bundle with games that run in dosbox anyway?
The DOS games are indeed DRM-free (UFO Defense, Terror From the Deep and Apocalypse), but the Windows games (Interceptor and Enforcer) require activation.
This thread is probably the part I missed the most during the downtime, lol.
Even though I think I'm starting to come to the realization that I really don't feel like spreading my gaming catalogue over multiple DD's and despite some good deals seem to be sticking to the one I'm used to.

angstrom: How much actual gameplay can one derive form Garry's mod? On one hand I like the funny videos they make with the thing, but on the other hand something tells me there isn't much actual content.
Loads. Primarily it's the mods that add much more. Mods such as for the default sandbox mode which allow you to create extremely complex devices once you learn how to use it, the mandatory [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5pas52OJBo]zombie mods, RP game modes and my personal faveourite is Fretta, a mode which contains dozens of different modes which the server switches between depending on what the players vote for.

Also, there is Gmod tower which is pretty amazing.

The user ratings are very polarized. Some seem to really hate RA3.

This one is really confusing: 9 or 8 on every component, but a zero overall.

It says serious sam HD requires third party additional download but doesn't specify what that is.

Must be a Steam download since the HD versions are Steam only.

If you like RA2, you will probably like RA3. It's a great RTS, but expect to find all that was great AND all that was bad with the previous games in the series, on it, especially the AI. Still, great fun for the story and videos.

Not the first time they've done that on D2D. I just can't understand why someone would buy a steam game on d2d unless there's a sale on a steam game before steam themselves put it on sale. And that doesn't seem likely that steam wouldn't have a concurrent sale or d2d would put it on sale at all without steam matching.

Hm I'd advise people to get the double pack instead. The expansion is supposed to be much improved over the original; the pack patches in some graphical improvements & added content for the original as well.
