Catshade: Gah, sorry! :P It's from direct2drive.com (dunno about the .uk or .eu branch)

KavazovAngel: Whats the DRM there?

D2D itself doesn't have any additional DRM, so if the game is DRM-free (as in the case of both Serious Sam games), then it's as free as GOG. There are lots of regional restriction, though...

I've read somewhere that the games require activation? Is this true or?

I don't know about other games that require activation, but every games I've bought from D2D that are labeled as DRM-free didn't require activation (installed and played those games without problems on an internet-free laptop).
If the game page doesn't mention anything in the game page it will have SecuROM activation 99% of the times unless the publisher has selected another method like UbiDRM.
D2D has DRM-Free games like the Serious Sam games and they have a big logo displaying that status. Steamworks games are marked with "Third party download required" or something like that.
Cool! I just got DIRT 2 for $1 with the PAX2010 code.

Delixe: I can confirm the Pax code does work but only on the US site. I picked up Silverfall and the sequel for $1.21 each.

Nice one, now I have non-Steam versions for just $2! Which is brilliant as Steam forces the integration of the expansion meaning you can't play the original game with the original UI anymore.

If you find the font is too small.
Also, in case it hasn't been stated already, you need to buy each game individually or it'll just knock $5 off the total.

Activation and limited licenses = no drm?
Meh.

No, I meant that if the game doesn't say that it is DRM free then it has SecuROM activation or any other DRM depending on the publisher decision. Serious Sam 1st and 2nd encounters on D2D have a big DRM FREE logo on them so they are DRM free just like GOG's releases. You download an installer and you can copy that file to a PC without Internet access, install, and play without activating online once.
D2D has lots of DRM free games, most of them are indie titles.

TBH I had never even heard of the games but once a game drops below €3 I will usuall buy it even if I just like the look of a trailer.

Were you able to use the code twice as it only takes $5.00 off the order of both at once.

You can use the code more than once.

Yep just buy each game individually.
Yeah, screw D2D.
Was going to buy SimCity 4 for 5 bucks with the pax code. They apparently want to do phone verification, and won't accept my google voice number. So screw them, I say.
