Now the real question is, what use is your opinion in a thread that's listing sales on games? A clue. NONE!.
Civ 4 Complete Edition also 50% off on Steam. They have it listed as a 'Midweek Sale', so I have no idea how long it lasts.

And it is region restricted on steam. Also, with the nonsense that i can buy an expansion pack, but can't buy the required Civ IV to play that same expansion.
GoGamer is selling Dragon Age: Origins on PC for $40.
Damn! The day of the deal today on Steam is the entire Dawn of War series.
U$ 14,99 for the Platinum Pack. (Dawn of War Gold + Dark Crusade).
Where is an international credit card when you need one?! Dammit!
While it doesn't seem to be a deal per se, PNA247 are selling Trine at £11. Which is well below the standard £25 or so it normally goes for. I've purchased it from them and they were fast and reliable.

Lucibel: Yeah, I'd be interested in hearing what they say. Hmm, maybe it's true about the client, but when my files are downloaded I may try installing and activating directly from the downloaded files rather than through the client, see if that circumvents it (another forum I've read suggests you can do this).

"The issue is still under review and would require more time for investigation, but rest assured we are working hard to resolve your issue in a timely manner."
In other words: they don't even know how their own store works. I might try my luck with Mass Effect just to test the waters.

As I discovered with LucasArts, these companies outsource their support to 3rd party organisations. The support at LucasArts didn't know The Secret of Monkey Island was being sold at Direct2Drive, and kept saying it was only available on Steam.
Anyway, if you check back a few pages you'll see my experience of the EA store. Thumbs up.

Did you get immediate access to your games from payment? Only I completed the checkout, but no confirmation emails or anything. They mentioned it could take 24hrs. But they say that about a lot of things (and it clearly isn't true).
I guess I'll have to email them for clarification. I just hope I get a more timely response.
Oh and Lucasarts are completely hopeless when it comes to customer support.

I received email receipts and was downloading straight away. You could login into the EA downloader with your email and password and see if it's showing up to download yet. If so, you can at least start downloading, though for Mass Effect you will need the serial they email you. For Dead Space, you won't need a serial.
Once it's all downloaded though, it should be a happy experience. Be sure to backup the game files; if you're using Vista you'll have to show hidden files, then go to Program Data\Electronic Arts\EADM\Cache folder.

Hmm, yeah it failed for some reason. They didn't get any funds from Paypal after all. I've looked through my account there and that does appear to be the case. This is the second time I've had these problems using Paypal with a DD site. Not sure why. Usually it's fine.
I'll have to try another browser or something. See if that helps.
