cpugeek13: I'm tempted to get Dragon Age Deluxe from that sale. How is the EA download service? How about DRM?

The download service is good, pretty fast. The download manager downloads to a folder which you can backup if you want. For Dragon Age, you activate with EA's server. You can also create an account with Bioware for an online profile, but this is optional. Internet activation isn't great but I prefer EA's DRM to Securom's.
Why can't EA be like steam whereby when there's a sale on a game, it's corresponding DLC is also on sale. Why can't that Mirror's Edge map pack go on sale? Why should I pay $9.99 when I paid that for a physical copy of the main game?

Good question really. The Mass Effect and NFS: Undercover DLC is still there at full price as well. As I can't see either game being re-packaged and resold anytime soon I guess the most we can hope is they are released for free eventually.
Telltale has an adventure bundle for charity. It goes for 19.95 and it has, the wispered world. jack keane, kings quest bundle and a penny arcade game. If the bundle sells 5k it will add puzzle agent. Also if it sells an unknown ammount it will also unlock sam and max season 2.
It goes until 9-10-10

The DLC market has yet to really mature. Subsequently DLC seems to hold its price tag even when it shouldn't.

LOL to Activision. Nearly one year has been passed and they only discount $10?

They did exactly the same thing with the original MW. It's why many of us had a heart attack when the COD pack went up on the Steam summer sale. Many were wondering if something had happened to Bobby.

Saw that one. Almost felt insulted it made 'daily deals' ... certainly hope the rest of the month is better.

Oh I don't know, compared to what we're expected to pay, that's a near 30 dollar discount.

Indeed.
I never felt like buying 1 CoD game for more than $15, but I surely bought that pack for $30 with 5 games. I will only buy MW2 and Black Ops when Bobby gets infected by the bird flu or something like it, again.
Since I only play the campaigns I know CoD games are not worth full price, but dammit I can't stop myself from buying them at release anyway.

Same here. I paid near full price for MW2 and I'm not sure what force made me do it (I was going to buy Bioshock 2).
