bansama: Huge Paradox sale on GamersGate, all titles 50% off except the most recent release I think.
Perfect time for me to pick up all the Eleven Legacy add ons anyhow =)

Holy spaghetti, I've never seen so much titles on the /offers... Paradox is really doing a sale, it's now live on 5 stores at least. There's any special motive for it, or just an aggressive summer sale?
I'd recommend everybody to buy directly from GG, since there is a better support for all these titles. Only Lead and Gold is exclusive to steam IIRC.

There's any difference between Steam and GG versions of M&B: Warband? Both versions can play with each other? (stupid question, but I haven't even played the demo, so...)

Vatiel: This is boring!

No, it's not.
Lots of good strategy games, and you can buy them from whichever store you like the most.
There aren't any differences between Steam and other versions of M&B Warband, but I'm honestly not sure about multiplayer compatibility.

I think there is no difference since its listed on the retail keys you can register on steam
can everyone PLEASE get lead and gold? it always has a few full servers since the steam sale, which solves its only major problem. i wanna play with all of you.

But that means I have to buy it!
The Paradox games always sound really interesting, but the fact that they're real-time (even if you can control time) always turns me off. I...I guess I'm just stuck in my turn-based ways...:(

I prefer turn-based games too, but considering that the games are very slow-paced on the lowest speed settings and that you can pause them at any time, I don't see much difference between Paradox's "real-time" and, say, Civilization's turns.
In both cases, you have as much time as you want to think about the situation and make your decisions.
I've never really understood what actual difference there was between turn-based and real-time with pause that could make you want to play one but not the other.
Are you worried you won't be able to pause the game fast enough or something?

I like the pause-options in RTS games, but it is still a different gameplay to turn-based. Yes, you can pause the game to give orders or get an overview, but you can't follow all parallel actions like in turn-based games.

So suck it up and do so! :)
For 360 folks in the UK (and for the five people who use the GfWL client to download DLC), Argos is selling 2100 Microsoft Point cards for £15. Which is respectable.

I think you're wrong there.
As I said Paradox games are very slow-paced on the lower speed settings, so you can follow parallel actions when you're busy doing a lot of different stuff relatively easily once you're a bit used to it.
And the higher speed settings come in very handy when you don't have anything major to do for a while, which can happen fairly frequently depending on the country you're playing and your playstyle.
There are also a lot of automatic pausing options if you're worried about missing stuff.
All in all, it may make for different gameplay from turn-based games, but not different enough to refuse to play the games imho.
Still, it's your choice, but you might be missing out on games you'd really like.
Steam:
Lead and Gold free weekend, starts this thursday.
Telltale Games:
Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People $5, and others. It's a Comic-Con sale.

Is it worth it to buy UFO Extraterresterials on Gamersgate for USD4.97, or to wait for Gamersgate to get the Gold edition (if it ever comes)? Does the Gold edition make a huge difference in gameplay?
