Gundato: Don't get me wrong, it is nice that they would do that for their customers. But it isn't really something the customer can't do (and would probably be faster if the customer DID do it).

bansama: The important point here, is that when GG do it for you, you don't get said publisher/DRM support accusing you of being a pirate simply because you used all your activations. I'd far rather deal with GG than EA support for example, when it comes to asking for activation limit resets.

Have you ever called to get activations refunded from Securom? It was basically the exact same thing whenever I call MS to get the activations refunded on my Windows serial(s). They don't CARE about why you are calling. They don't run around screaming "YOU ARE A PIRATE!! BURN IN HELL!". They just ask you for the key and then refund the activations. Took five minutes, and I was on hold for three of those.
Again, don't get me wrong, this is a nice service of GG. But it just doesn't strike me as something that makes sense as a "make or break" kind of thing. It would be like refusing to buy a car from a dealer that doesn't sell those little green-tree air fresheners. Yeah, it is a minor inconvenience, but who the hell cares? :p

The cost of international phone calls and time zone differences rules out ever phoning such support.
However, I *have* been accused of being a pirate when trying to sort activation problems with EA games -- despite the key being invalid when I bought the game. They also then tried to steal my identity by asking for personal data that has absolutely nothing to do with the problem at hand.
As I said, with GG, there's none of that hassle.

gyokzoli: Hmm, it's still a little bit pricey for a tower defence game. I think I'll wait for a price drop.

It is not a tower defense game. A tower defense game is a game where you are on the defensive side, slowing an inevitable onslaught of monsters. GSB is...I don't even know what I'd call it, it's just something different. Calling it tower defense is akin to calling Oddworld a shoot-em-up.
In any case, I gave in and bought it (many thanks to cw8 for gifting it to me). It's boatloads of fun. If anyone's bought it, let me know if you want to play multiplayer.

Fair enough, although I think they have localized support for most major areas. Probably sucks for you, since you live in the land of Nintendo. But for most people it really shouldn't be a deal-breaker :p

Just wondering if you or anyone knows if Arsenal of Democracy is worth the buy even if you have HoI2 Complete
As well FOrt Zombie.. good game or not? Also any main recommendations for paradox games? (I love M&B, HoI2 and EU3)
Hmmm might get the complete EU3 now...

I can't comment on AoD, sorry. But I found Fort Zombie to be, in-short, unplayable. But bear in mind I haven't tried it for a long while and recent patches may have improved it.
I'm wondering about East India Company myself. Might consider getting it depending on other deals later in the week. As long as GamersGate/PayPal's fraud thing doesn't catch me out again.
Anyhow, full list of current GamersGate sales here:

HMm ok thanks alot
I'm interested in East India Company
Having read the description of AoD, I think the modifications aren't really worth the price
I think at this point East India Company (which has apparently been received badly), Sword of the Stars and Anno 1404 look interesting, but I think EU3 complete is for me based on the reviews and my computer. Anno 1404 looks too taxing.

+1 I don't say this about many games but Fort Zombie is complete rubbish.

If you want a fun top down zombie game get Zombie Driver instead.

Wow, maybe it's time to buy Sword of the Stars Complete.
Wow, a few days ago I read a review about Europa Universalis 3, it sounds really interesting. But the Complete set here includes not all packages, there is another add-on called "Heir to the Throne" (also on sale). Also wikipedia says there are rumours about another add-on. Maybe I should wait for an updated packages and another promo.
WTF is this BS about Fort Zombie? Fort Zombie is not a top down shooter. It's not a shooter. It's an arcade RPG with shooting elements.
I liked Zombie Driver very much, but it has nothing to do with Fort Zombie. Different type of game.
In Fort Zombie you try to find survivors, weapons and other materials needed to help you defend your building. Setting defensive perimeters, assigning the other survivors to defend etc. Think of all the zombie films where survivors are left to defend a building, this is Fort Zombie, only that you also have "missions" to find others and stuff to help you.
Fort Zombie is a very good game, just happens to be in a not so good wrapper. If you manage to forgive that, you will have a good time with it.

I don't know about a further future expansion, but as it is the game is just amazing.
