Lou: I really don't understand the thoughts behind something like this other than they hate the PC crowd. I can pick this up for PS3 and play it anytime with no connection to the internet, no ubisoft account. These people hate the PC Gamers and should not see one penny from us.

Which is why I don't understand why they don't ditch the PC entirely. They develop proper PC versions of their games rather than lousy ports. Then there's the always online DRM shenanigans which must be costing them a fair bit to maintain.
Then there's all the people who're not going to want to buy these titles because of that crap. Already their games are being sold off half price and that's not even in sales. That's their new regular price. So they can't be selling at all well and given that PC is supposed to be such an unprofitable platform...

Okay, it was a PC only game, but that was a shocking game to have as a premier title for their new DRM service. Bad even by Silent Hunter standards.

That's what I get for completely ignoring everything they've done since their DRM overkill. :P
I was referring more to games like the Advanced Warfighter games which were completely remade for PC. Every multiplatform game was at least as good on PC as it was on other platforms. So Silent Hunter would probably have been crap on console too.
I'm not a big fan of HOG,but this game is great.
