Mentalepsy: Additional weekend deals on D2D: Ghostbusters, Civilization 4, Bioshock 2, some Call of Duty bundle, and The Witcher.
Has anyone actually played played Ghostbusters
on PC? I've been wanting to play it, but I still have unanswered questions about performance, controls, and DRM.
Kabuto: The game box says online activation required. I think it's securom with 5 install limit and revoke tool to deauthorize a machine. It's a poor port and they removed multiplayer co op from the console versions. I was advised against it at $4.00. With that being the case it certainly doesn't seem worh it at $9.95.
There's also some problems if you don't install it to the default directory stated during install.
I'll let someone else answer the gameplay part.
I would suggest reading the RPS pseudo-review. It basically covers my feelings on it as well (one of the things that made me realize how much I like them :p)
In the movies, the proton packs weren't precision weapons. There was a lot of "walking" the beam onto a target. That makes for great cinema, poor video gaming.
Imagine if you were playing an FPS and were forced to carry the heavy machine gun like people ACTUALLY carry those (when they feel the need to carry them). Hunched over and at your waist. The heavy machine gun goes from super-fun toy to a bit less than optimal.
And now imagine trying to take out tiny little speedy candlestick bastards with that...
