Curiously, is it part of GOG's marketing to announce these sales through third party gaming sites without direct reference on their own forum or GOG itself, or is this some sort of slip? I don't understand the lack of heads up at their own page.

Likewise. I think being in Poland has led GOG to believe that Stasi-era secrecy is still in vogue. ;)

SCPM: Looks like GOG's going to follow up the Insomnia sale with this 'Time-Machine' sale:

Let the madness begin!

In any case, it's happening a bit too often now to be unintentional.

"Starting tomorrow, digital distribution storefront Good Old Games, which you all know as GOG.com"

They're a little behind on news it seems :)

So does this mean Jack Keane and Jack Keane 2 will only be on sale for fifteen seconds?

THANK YOU JEEBUS

As the dude who wrote this (my stats lit up on this place), I think I can explain: Usually, GOG.com puts up an embargo, ensuring that they can get the news out first. Since this had none, I did look into the news being posted by GOG as a first party (trailer included), before writing it up, but none were available. I still thought you'd like to know, but my guess would be they just wanted this news out in preparation or, in lesser extent, they intended it to have an embargo, like with other recent sales.

GOG would have to release the first Jack Keane before that to happen. Which might mean it's the new release tomorrow. ;)

Damn, what the hell am I thinking of then? I would've sworn we only had the second here. Must be some other game we have the second title of but not the first.

Apology for the stupid.

Stooner: Free copy of Rome: Total War with a purchase of an Aliens game, on GMG.
Aliens games up to 80%.
Rome Total War (1) is be using an older way of rendering graphic which might cost error to some newer graphic cards. I myself experienced that before, If you are interested in the game, suggest try Medieval 2 Total War instead. (Also, last one before fully steamed)

I never had problems, though I did have to tweak one setting in the .ini so that siege towers would actually deploy. The fix is here: http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?66401-How-to-fix-the-Siege-Tower-bug
