Already had Elemental (pre-ordered the LE a while back), but used the coupon to finally pick up TA. Easy install (the hell of Impulse is still easier than discs and patches) and the like.

It wasn't really bad the last time I played. I think 1.6 is far, far worse. Though in the end, it really depends on which servers you play.

Pretty much. I haven't really noticed any actual hacking in CS in years (in the on and off I play). Horrifyingly bad community, but no real hacking.
Keep in mind that you get a lot of false positives. If you kill someone, they might scream you are a hacker. That adds up. :p

Might want to double check if you can gift it, first. I didn't read all the text of the deal but 99% of the time you don't get to gift extra copies.
Personally I couldn't stand the artwork of the first SE so I'll just wait for an inevitable sale on the second.
