Gundato: Just Cause 2 for $19.99. Just message Gundato on Steam. First noticed, first served.

If that's still on offer, I can actually gift Riddick over Steam to you and would love JC2 -- which I can't get directly from Steam myself.
At USD5, is it worth it to get Mirror's Edge on Steam as opposed to a boxed version? I always like having the box in hand - if anyone has the boxed version, does it come with anything else other than just the DVD itself? Is it the flat DVD casing, or does it actually have the medium-sized cardboard box?
Go Gamer 48 Hour Madness.
I want to buy Hidden and Dangerous 2, but not sure. How good is the site in terms of reliability?

Well WOT has only one review, but it seems to be a very popular site with good ratings.
If you're buying H&D2 via GoGamer, do you think you can buy an extra copy and ship it over here? GoGamer doesn't seem to do international shipping

Well, I'd love to honestly (Seriously, I would.), but I have 14 bucks on my prepaid debit card atm and have to wait until either tomorrow or Sunday to cash in my check (Tripled what it was last pay day, nearly fainted.) and reload it. Sorry. =(

I prefer the box, though it's a slim one. Really nice design though. It comes with the five song remix CD. Manual is black and white and very thin -- worthless.
Edit: unboxing video here. looks like the Euro version is cardboard. Jealous.

Damn. The packaging is really good. Here we only have the little DVD box. Jealous x2
Alas, I searched all through ebay and was unable to find a reasonably priced copy of Mirror's Edge, so I just went ahead and bought the Steam version. Maybe if I like the game enough, I'll pick up a boxed copy when income becomes more stable.

Aw. No sweat.

I'd love a boxed copy of Mirror's Edge on PC. Of course, I've never seen one here. All I have in terms of a retail copy is a US PS3 one =/ And that didn't come with the soundtrack.

Good call. Hope you like it. :)

bansama: Undercover for example, can be purchased here via the EA store (or retail if you're lucky to find a store stocking PC games and which happens to have it ) for around $73.

I saw Farcry in a store in Shinjuku last week for about $60 usd. TW:Rome was only about $25. It's very random.
I was thinking of trying to negotiate with them over the price of Modern Warfare, but then I glanced at the rest of the store and went instantly blind from all the porn games. :-o
PS/ Mirror's edge is well worth $5 on steam. First half was probably the most gaming fun I had last year. Second half, not so much..

I'd stay away from eBay when it comes to games with drm on them.
I got my boxed copy or in dvd case to be precise at a magazine shop of all places for $9.99.
I was a little hesitant since it was in french pakaging and clearly states it would install everything in french only. That is actually false. No matter what copy you buy whether english, french, german, italian etc. it installs in the game language of your operating system. So it installed in english automatically which was nice since the english boxed version is $19 at another store. The remix cd is a really nice bonus I find. The original and most of the remixes are very well done.
Yeah it's got Securom, but it was painless. Adds a few registry entries but no processes run in the background. My computer hasn't suffered any performance problems since I installed it in March.
Steam version has no securom on it.

I have used GoGamer a few times in the past.
You have to pay shipping, and they take a REALLY long time to get around to it, but overall it is usually worth it at the prices their 48-hour madnesses offer.

Yeah, I've only found one store in Akiba which sells imports in which it's safe to take the kids (as long as they avoid several of the floors =S)
It's now Mass Effect day, and the big question from your resident BFF again: if I buy the Steam version, am I missing anything from the boxed version? I was unable to find a collector's edition or limited ed anywhere for the PC version too, so I guess there's only the standard boxed edition?

Regarding ME1: Double check to make sure you can do Bring Down the Sky. I think they fixed that for Steam, but not sure. Otherwise, all you miss out on is a rather poor manual.
Regarding ME2: You are missing out on a rather poor manual and an art book.
