p_mamusz: Dont count on it, Pride of Nations, and Rise of Prussia rights went back to Ageod thats been aquired by Slitherine, so i dont think they will be discounted in a Paradox sale. As a matter of fact, dont expect any dicounts from now on... :O No Steam/Amazon sales either since they have been pulled from there.
Aand: "we can announce that we are working on a patch to upgrade both tiles. This will only be available through our Group outlets"
keeveek: Those suckers... And they are probably very surprised why their games sell poorly? :-/ I would buy their Revolution Under Siege and Alea Jacta Est, if they only made some discounts on them :-/ Aand: "we can announce that we are working on a patch to upgrade both tiles. This will only be available through our Group outlets"
Hell, I would buy every game from them, but for 5 EUR tops...
The same goes with most of the wargames. I don't know why creators of such games as Combat mission etc are so retarded and refuse to sell their games cheaper...

Few years back, paradox games general were a niche. It was a good marketing strategy and improved development of their games that allowed them to hit mainstream.
AGEOD seems to be incapable of doing so. Same goes with Battlefront.com. If they only wanted, they could reach mainstream market (without dumbing down their games, see Crusader Kings 2), but they are just too stupid to do so.
That's just my opinion. With games like Combat Mission: Afghanistan (or Shock Force) it would be more than just a "dream".
But hell, if they don't want my money... I won't give it to them.

The mainstream isn't launch game, wait a few months and then drop the prices to $5 (thats a digital steam reseller strategy imho hehe. Maybe those other companies think they can stay as they are (some do i imagine). Must be doing ok if they still pump out games and not have to resort to beg to go on SteamAGEOD seems to be incapable of doing so. Same goes with Battlefront.com. I don't need to buy them on steam. I would buy them anywhere, but not for heavy dough. Years back, everybody thought "Operation flashpoint / ARMA is too hardcore to ever go mainstream!" , and we were so wrong. And yeah, you're right - it seems just like they are fine with their current position, because they don't seem to evolve for over a decade.
And AGEOD people were surprised Alea Jacta Est was not greenlit on steam. LOL.
And if they want, they may keep their high initial prices, but damn... I am waiting for Napoleon's Campaigns or American Civil War discount for a few years now, and still nothing...
If they wanted to earn more money, they definitely should introduce their games to as many people as they can - for example by having sales.

Im wondering what the criteria steam has to greenlight games and reject others...hmmmmm

People didn't vote for it. Especially after they said "we will make a very good initial price! Only 25 euro!" Even their oldest games remain priced high.. I would be fine with 25 EUR if they ever were to be discounted...
Well, I know what you're going to think but... I want their games, I can't afford their riddiculous prices, so...
edit: now I see they made some expansions to Alea Jacta Est. Avaible only on their freaking website... Not even on gamersgate. Those stubborn bastards...

So $40 for all three games? That seems like a pretty sweet deal considering the freshness of the third game. Honestly I would be totally tempted if I could not already hear my poor old PC quivering in fear just at the thought of trying to run them. That, and I could actually work up carefactor for FPS. ;)http://store.steampowered.com/sale/Ubisoft_Publisher_Weekend_2013

Maybe you could try to find them in retail then. I bought the "AGEOD's Military Strategies" pack dirt cheap (15euros maybe?) and this one includes American Civil War, World War One (not gold) and Wars in America. There's also Military Strategies 2 (Pride of Nations, World War One and Napoleon's Campaigns) for 10$ on Amazon.com from UK seller.

Towers of Ajura $3
On Shiny Loot
http://www.shinyloot.com/towers-of-ajura
Thought I would point this out - I'm really sick and tired of these types of RPGs
however this one is and open-ended sandbox game and quite good so far.
Note that I think that "10-15 hours Game Play" is considering if you take over everything
Having said that it looks to be a relatively short RPG but the different hero types might
make it worth playing through a few more times. Pretty good amateur effort.
