lackoo1111: There's something fishy about the top sellers list on Steam. ( i mean how many europeans buy a 59.99€ pack )

I have to agree. That pack is listed at number 1 for Japan too. And there's no fucking way that many people are going to be stupid enough to buy a $89.99 pack that features two games (with total price of $49.98 and a piece of DLC for a game that is restricted here and not sold retail).
No fucking way do I believe people here are *that* stupid.
avatar
Delixe: Depends. If the complete pack adds future Sega games like Alpha Protocol it would be worth it.
avatar
Siannah: Yep, then it would. However, Steam complete packs down work that way.
There are several complete packs out there with games released later who are still not included. I also haven't seen any game added for free to previously bought packs - and it's a safe bet that it won't happen, ever.

Never say never. The Meridian 4 complete pack did this. I bought that awhile back. When Crash Time II and Nikopol were released by Meridian 4 later, I suddenly had them in my Steam games list to install. I was impressed.
I hope they sell the sonic racer for under 10 euros. I will grab it faster than you can say skip.

If it is a scam, I hope that means the MW2 DLC is also a lie. :P

Gexecuter: Okay seriously now i will snag a copy for myself tomorrow :D guys GCII is one of the best turn based games ever, i even managed to figure out how everything worked in that game once. Never tried the expansions tough, i just played vanilla.

You're in for one heck of a surprise. They change everything. Different tech trees for each race, different ship designs for each race, various types of planets. So much more complexity, so much more FUN! :D

chautemoc: If it is a scam, I hope that means the MW2 DLC is also a lie. :P

Actually, I think the sad truth is that while Valve like people to think the list is per region, it's really just tracking global sales with regionally restricted titles filtered out from display. So the sales of both the SEGA pack and that MW2 DLC don't really reflect sales in your region, but sales worldwide*.
And thus, I still refuse to believe that anyone in Japan is stupid enough to pay $89.99 for $49.98 worth of content with bonus useless DLC! Of course, I'm probably wrong and at least one person here has bought it U_U.
* This is of course, Valve's definition of "worldwide" and not the dictionary definition.

Gexecuter: But that was the only copy left! Give it back!

Just a little joke.
I got a copy today, been waiting to buy GalCiv2 ultimate on deal even before that $0.99 deal for GalCiv1. And I've played 1 only. :p
its nice to see a good impulse offer for once that is not region restricted!
I got galactic Civ 2 just to see if its my sort of thing, (if not then my dad might like it).

You're a smart guy. I got so interested in the game that I ended buying the damned thing full priced when the dollar was quite high. I ended up paying almost 90 reais on it.
And that's why you shouldn't pirate games, kids. It may end getting you to like the game so much that you end up buying a legal copy of it for a whole lot more than you're willing to pay.
Explaining a little better: I got GalCiv 1 on a promotion thing. Loved it. Than I got the demo for GalCiv 2. As usual with Stardock games, the demo ends before you can conclude a game. So I got a pirate copy. Played some games, loved it so much, that I bought the complete thing. (LOOK piratry just made a legit sell! Blasphemy!!!)
That's why I was trying to avoid playing Sins of a Solar Empire's demo. I knew it would happen again.
Well, it did. I just skipped the download the pirate copy thing. At least I managed to wait until all expansion packs were out and payed only 70 reais this time.
